What I'm Reminiscing About...

3 years ago we were waiting in anticipation to find out if we were having a girl or boy. We ended up with a precious little boy.

What I am Loving...

Northern Ohio has been having random gorgeous days in the 50s. We have been getting outside as much as we can including walking to and from school when it is warm enough.

What We've Been Up To...

Playing lots and lots of UNO. That is all Aubriella wants to play anymore. It's fun until she cheats.

What I'm Working On...

We have started working on the basement again. Maybe it will actually get finished sometie soon. We only started it 2 years ago.

What I'm Excited About...

Warmer weather, getting outside, fresh air, sunshine. I am over winter and the cold, dark gloomy days.

What I'm Watching...

Bachelor Winter Games
It was a very short series but they kept it interested. If you got a chance to check it out you know there was lots of drama, kissing, and some even found love. I loved Claire but I don't think her proposal was real. I was so excited Ashley found love too.

Bachelor
I have loved Ari since the season started. I can't believe that there is only next week left. At first I was team Krystal until her true colors started to show. I have always loved Becca K and grew to really like Tia. Kendall and her love her taxidermy is just a little to weird for me. I can't wait to find out what really plays out in the final. I read a squealer and I am disappointed in what Ari does.

Olympics
Growing up the winter Olympics were my favorite. I loved waiting the figure skating, skiers, and bobsledding. This year I watched bits and pieces. Even with dvr'ing there were way too many commercials. The little bit of figure skating I watched all the girls and couples kept falling. (I know it is not an easy sport but you are supposed to be the best of the best) Same with the downhill skiers. As a family we watched the curling that was interesting, but Ella seemed to like it a lot.

What I'm Reading...

Really enjoying this book from JoJo Moyes. Check back next week for a full review of all the books I read in February.

What I'm Wearing...

I always wear the same things, yoga pants, workout tanks, and throw on a sweatshirt. I have worn jeans a few times this pants month. I wore a Disney shirt to Brian's work the other day to drop off something. His receptionist asked if I was getting ready for a trip to Disney? No I wear Disney shirts all year round.

What I'm Doing This Weekend...

I'm shocked to be saying this but working. I actually picked up a 4 hour shift at the salon I use to work at. I am excited since I know it is only for 2 days because they need help. I'm extremely grateful I left on good terms and they know they can call when they need help. Going back to work is not in our families future right now.

What I am Looking Forward to Next Month...

Girl Scout Cookies come in, and we are having a cookie booth.

What Else is New...

nothing really
Bonus Question:  What’s your favorite Spring Break Destination?

I have to admit. I have never gone anywhere for Spring Break. Going on a cruise or to the beach does always sound appealing.

Air Fried Potato Wedges

Our family loves using our Air Fryer we got for Christmas. I am loving having a healthy alternative to using a deep fryer (which we barely ever did.) We use it a couple of times a week.

Air Fried Potato Wedges

Ingredients:
4 medium-large russet potatoes
1 Tbsp EVOO
salt to taste

Directions:
1- Wash potatoes. Cut in half, half again, and half again until you get 8 wedges from each potato.
2- Place in a medium bowl, add EVOO and stir until wedges are evenly coated.
3- Place in air fryer basket. Preheat on 400 degrees, cook for 18-20 minutes shaking halfway through.
4- Remove from fryer, add salt as desired
5- Serve.
6- Enjoy!!!

Movie Club Monday

Happy Monday. I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I had a great family and friends filled weekend which included a girlfriend day date to the movies, plus shopping and lunch on Saturday.

We started off out day by having a light lunch at McAlister's Deli. This is our go to lunch spot when we get together. Their menu has so many delicious and healthy options to choose from, it is affordable, and there is something we each will eat. (See why Heather and I are friends, she likes Disney too even though it is really only Star Wars)

After lunch we wondered around the mall, hit up the Disney store then made our way to the theater. (Yes Heather is pregnant not just being weird and holding her stomach.)

No movie at the theater would be complete without movie theater popcorn. It is always better than anything you can make at home. (We won't mention how many calories it is)

We saw 50 Shades Freed. We talked about going to see it when it came out a year ago when we watched the last movie. In November we planned a date to go see the movie. We had to wait until this past Tuesday to come up with a time since the theater took forever to release show times.
Quick Review:
It was a good movie. Plot line kept you going, not something you will want to watch a million times and not too many sex scenes. If it wasn't for reading the books and seeing the first two movies I wouldn't have had any desire to see this movie. If you compare the book to the movie you are going to be very very disappointing. Without giving anything away there were a lot of key words, scenes, people, and sub-stories not included in the movie as well as some parts out of order. I know this is a given with any movie that was originally a book, but still a big disappointment.

I am joining in a new link party. Movie Club Monday hosted by Little Dove Blog. Once a month she has a link up for different movie genre inspired post. This month is all about Romantic Comedies.
I am one of those girls who loves watching romance movies. I have an obsession with Hallmark movies and could watch them 24/7. I can't just pick one favorite. Here are 10 of my top romantic comedies. There are so many more I do love though. In random order:

Progress in a Week- Week 6

Happy Sunday. Another week in the books. I'm feeling very discouraged but I have no one to blame but myself. Lets take a look at the last week and I will explain why I am discouraged and what I am doing this week to kick it up a notch.

Monday (2-19-18)

Ella had off school and a back handspring clinic during the day plus my mom came over to watch Austin. I knew it was going to be a busy day. Got up at 5am and got my workout done early.

Tuesday (2-20-18)

The sun was shining the weather started in the mid 60's but ended in the 70's. Walked Ella to and from school, 2 miles round trips for me plus got my cardio workout it. Stayed on track with my nutrition. All around awesome day.

Wednesday (2-21-18)

Total Body Core my least favorite workout. Got it done anyways. I didn't push myself as hard as I could though.

Thursday (2-22-18)

Leg Day. I upped my weights from 20 to 40, I need better weights to do what I really want/need to do but I am making due with what I have.

Friday (2-23-18)

I kept putting off my workout, I have been fighting a cold or some sort. I ended up taking Friday as my rest day.

Saturday (2-24-18)

Girls Day Date meant McAlisters club for lunch with soup, then popcorn at the movies. I did come home and get my workout done even thought I didn't want to. Horribly off track with nutrition

Sunday (2-25-18)

Again not a great day. Started off with family protein waffles with homemade blueberry syrup/jam. Lunch I had Arby's and felt horrible afterwords. Will I ever learn I don't get along with certain foods? I have my workout planned for sometime tonight and my weekly self-care, but Brian is destroying my basement aka replacing light fixtures. Hopefully he finishes or I will be working out in the living room.

Some Food From Last Week

Turkey meatballs with sauteed zuccini in coconut oil with crush tomatoes on top

Wednesday was Refeed Day and Dine to Donate for Ella's school. I got a little cheeseburger from 5 Guys with lots of veggies. Tasted delicious, but felt like crap after eating it.

Slow cooker chicken with peppers and onions over quinoa

Week 7 Dinner Menu:

Monday- Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken with brown rice and Air Fryer Brussel Sprouts
Tuesday- Buffalo Chicken Taco's with corn tortillas ad green beans
Wednesday- Turkey Burger Salad with Dijon Vinaigrette, and Sweet Potato Fries
Thursday- One Pan Turkey Sausage, Sweet Potatoes, and Broccoli
Friday- Pizza Hut Pizza and Salad
Saturday- Leftovers
Sunday- Shrimp Egg Roll in a Bowl with extra veggies and rice

RECAP and FUTURE:

The weight on the scale hasn't gone lower, and my inches haven't changed since two weeks ago. I have however been upping my weights in my workouts. I must admit I haven't been pushing myself with my workouts enough, I haven't been consistent with the time I workout, my nutrition has been slacking, and my water intake hasn't been the greatest.
This week I am refocusing:
- 5am wake-up with 6am workouts
- at least 70 oz water a day
- stick to my nutrition plan
- drink my pre and post workouts
- push myself

Anyone want to be my accountability partner?

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday. The end of the week is finally here. WAHOOOO!!!!! It may have been a short school week but it seemed to last forever and OMG attitude central for a little girl. She finally calmed down yesterday. I am excited for this weekend. Tomorrow is girls day date. Two of my girlfriends/sister are going to McAlisters for lunch, one of our favorite affordable places. Then we are seeing 50 Shades Freed. Have you seen it?

I am linking up with these three lovely ladies, ErikaNarci, and Andrea for some Friday Favorites.

~ONE~

My favorite little man. We went shopping alone for the first time in probably six months. He did awesome. He sat in the back of the cart (i know not the ideal location) sat good and played with my phone. He didn't scream or try to crawl out. We went to Target and how a gallon of milk ended up costing me $60, the world of Target always sucks you in.

~TWO~

This was dinner Brian made last Saturday. I am still tasting this heavenly steak and lobster on the back on my tongue. I would eat this every week if it was an option.

~THREE~

Tuesday was warm weather and sunshine. Spring was in the air. I am so ready for warm weather to stick around. You can see some things I am excited for spring HERE.

~FOUR~

Notice anything missing? Tooth number 3 is gone. My princess needs to stop growing up.

~FIVE~

The other day someone commented on a Disney shirt I was wearing.. She said oh you must be getting ready for your vacation very early. Nope my attire consists of workout tanks or Disney shirts. Do I need to buy more non-Disney shirts?

Hope you have a fabulous weekend. Anything fun planned?
