Hey loves. Happy Monday and Happy June. How was your weekend? We had a busy but fun weekend. I am ready for a day of no plans, maybe in a month that will happen.
It is a 3 post day. Not only am I sharing a weekend recap for Hello Monday, be sure to check out Meal Planning Monday, and Amazon Lately .
I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday. Let's see what we did this weekend.
Friday
After the kids got on the bus, Brian grabbed two bags of lettuce from our garden. It is salad season.
I ran to the store to grab lunch meat and a few odds and ends to have a picnic. I found this bright pink nail polish that screams summer.
Ella was recognized in her school's weekly newsletter!!
Austin had a pizza party and batting practice at one of his coaches house. While Brian and Austin were at baseball, I drove Ella to her dads and had Anna with me. We picked up McDonalds for Anna to have for dinner.
Brian and I planned a date night and his mom offered to watch Anna and Austin overnight.
I straightened my hair that I haven't done in forever. I want to make note that this was May 30 and I am wearing a sweater. Mother Nature has lost summer, gosh even spring temps are lost.
We went to Salmon Dave's. Brian got a cucumber basil gin drink.
I got a strawberry French 75.
We had calamari for an app. I wasn't impressed
Brian got herb crust halibut.
I got cedar plank salmon that was delicious.
We ended the night grabbing a drink at Market in Rocky River. It is a bar and restaurant.
Saturday
No kids meant sleeping in. I got up at 8am, I don't know the last time I did that. Brian and I got ready for a busy day. We grabbed a quick breakfast at a local bakery and deli. Then Brian had a showing. I ended up waiting in the car.
After his showing we headed to pick up the kids for 4 hours of baseball. It was a chilly one. Temps were only in the upper 50s and it was windy. Anna's t-ball game was first. It was only an hour long, only half her team showed up, it started sprinkling, but we kept moving and it went by quick.
After Anna's game we had lunch in the van. I brought lunch meat, bread, chips, carrots, celery, dips, etc. It would have been so much better if it was warmer. While Anna and I finished eating, Austin and Brian went to get warmed up for his game.
Austin's game is 2 hours or 6 innings. It was cold and windy. Anna and I both were wrapped in blankets, she ended up on my lap for half the game cuddling and staying warm, while listening to Taylor Swift on Amazon music.
After a few losing games, Austin's teams won and got in better spirits.
It was home to warm up and relax. I ended up falling asleep on the couch (oops) and Brian did some work. At dinner time we ended up over our neighbors house for grilled chicken salads and the kids played. We called it an early night at 9.
Sunday
I love that these two always want to have sleepovers on the weekend. I imagine they will be swapping beds all summer too.
Church for the summer is at 10, outside in the pavilion. That extra hour, and the sun waking me up at 630 means I got a leg day workout in that I didn't get in on Saturday. Then we all got ready for church.
It was a cold service we scooted out for there as soon as it was over with frozen fingers and toes. Brian dropped us off then headed to a showing. Not much later I dropped Anna off at a dance class the high school was hosting. Then Brian swapped Austin and took him to a bowling event with the church. They got back just in time to leave to go watch Anna's dance recital. (it was a one day thing)
Anna had so much fun at the dance camp. She keeps asking when she gets to go again. We have decided to sign her up for 6 weeks of gymnastics, a short session isn't available for dance. Then afterwards she can pick if she wants dance or gymnastics.
We ended the weekend with gorgeous warm weather and the kids running around outside with friends. We enjoyed time outside at our friends house.
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO

ReplyDeleteI agree summer is taking it's time, even in the south where I live. I haven't been in the lake yet and normally that's not the case by June 1. I'm glad you got a date night!
