2020 Vision- Focus
Wednesday, January 22, 2020
Last year was amazing for different reasons and struggles for other reasons. You can read a quick Reflection of 2019 HERE. This year I want to focus on me, listen to my body, and prioritize myself. Now let me say this first: This doesn't mean that my family is no way a priority, or that anything else will necessarily get a step back. But I need to make some changes for myself personally. For a lot of moms, including myself we put ourselves on the back burner, everyone else comes first and we see the effects of it. I keep pouring from an empty glass.
MLK Weekend Recap
Tuesday, January 21, 2020
Happy Tuesday. We had a nice long 4 day weekend. I am ready to get back to our normal schedule and enjoy our short week ahead. Today Audrianna has to have an ultrasound of her brain. I am a nervous wreck. Thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated. To distract me here is a little weekend recap with the highlights. I was not on my phone much this weekend. I was in the moment spending time with my kids and Brian.
10 Simple Meal Planning Tips
Monday, January 20, 2020
Making a weekly meal plan is what keeps our house running smoothly at the witching hour. Knowing what we are having for dinner and having parts of it already prepped helps tremendously with all the stress around this time. From getting homework finished, 3 kids running around (ok one doesn't move but is fussy and wants held), Brian coming home from work, getting ready for our evening activities, etc. Things can be a little nuts. (maybe a lot nuts)
Yes meal planning can be stressful. There use to be weeks where I wanted to pull my hair out trying to figure out what to make, especially with picky eaters. I have learned that even though at times I hate doing it, it is a task that I need to get done. From making our days run smoother, to saving money, to not eating out every night there are so many benefits to doing so.
Meal planning is different for every person. Some people meal plan every meal, some people plan elaborate meals every day... I usually only plan out dinner, some nights are quick and simple other nights other nights are crock pot done in the morning, more and more I am using my instant pot and loving it as well. You have to do what works best for you and your family.
Here are 10 steps to help you take the stress of meal planning for your family.
Friday Favorites
Friday, January 17, 2020
Hey friends. Happy Friday. We have a long 4 day weekend. We are still figuring out what we are going to do so the kids don't keep saying "I'm Bored" and aren't stuck in the house the whole time. On Saturday we do have a mother daughter date planned and a father son date. What fun are you having this weekend?

Winter Bucket List 2020
Wednesday, January 15, 2020
It hasn't felt much like winter in Northern Ohio. We have only had snow like 3 days, temps have been above average, (Saturday was 70, normal is in the 30s), and the sun has been out. We are hoping one day it will start feeling like winter. Austin keeps asking when does he get to build a snowman and Ella wants a snow day.

Friday Favorites- New Link Up and more

Happy Friday. The weekend is finally here. This week has been rough for me. Trying to get into a new schedule, Austin started preschool (next week he starts speech therapy again), I feel like I have taxi written on my forehead.... I am ready for a little get together with friends tonight and not much planned this weekend (I hope) so I can relax and catch up on sleep and continue getting my house in order.
Elf on the Shelf 2019
Thursday, January 9, 2020
Our Elf on the Shelf, GusGus is back for another year of fun. I have to confess I didn't do a calendar like I usually do. #MOMFAIL There has been morning that I am rushing out to move him before the kids wake up. There was even a couple days that he didn't get moved, but luckily Austin didn't look for him until after I some how snuck around and moved him, or had Brian do it when I wasn't home. There were also a few days I forgot to take pictures. I will admit to being up at 2am feeding Audrianna and scrolling Pinterest to see what fun idea I can find that is easy but new.
A girlfriend asked me the other day why we still do it if it sometimes seems like such a hassel. The traditions, the memories, the excitement in the kids. GusGus is really a part of the family during the month of December. Ella will write him a note and wait for a reply the next day. Austin will say "GUS GUS" every morning in a British accent (thank you Peppa Pig) when he finds where he has moved to.

Happy New Year
This year we stayed in and celebrated at home with all 3 kiddos. From junk food, to games, dance parties, and Disney fireworks streamed on the TV. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Words can never really express how grateful and thankful I am for all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this past year special. Thank you for taking the time each day and stopping by my little piece of the internet, your kind words, your support, and your love.
I am so excited to see what 2020 brings. I have so much planned from recipes, to giveaways, to collaborations, fun monthly link ups, and much more. Juggling being a stay at home mom of 3 has shown to be harder than I ever expected and my lack of blogging showed. I am hoping with new adventures on the horizon, I will get back to a good schedule for myself and my blog.
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO
