Life Lately

Hey friends. I have updated you on our life recently. This summer has gone far from a normal summer but we are making it the best we can. Today I am sharing just a quick update from the past month, plus an update on Austin since his surgery.

Happy Birthday to Me!!! 35 Random Facts

Happy Birthday to me. I can't believe I am 35. It was the end of the world when I turned 25, but I am embracing 35 as the best year ever, even with our bad luck streak.

Whats In My

June is coming to an end.  This month has really flown by with so much going on good and bad. Time for the monthly link up with my girl Ashley. The last Thursday of every month we will be taking a peek at the smaller details in our homes and lives. Who isn't snoopy of how others lives. I know I am.

This month we are taking a look inside my Lunch Bag.

Thoughts and Prayers Needed

It has come as a huge surprise to all of us. We have known for less than a week. Austin goes in today to have surgery on BOTH his kidneys. He has kidney reflux. The simple explanation is the urine flows the wrong way, back up into his kidneys. This has caused 3 UTI's since the end of January. Each time he has an infection he develops scar tissue that doesn't go away in his kidneys. The more scar tissue he has, the higher the risk for high blood pressure and more problems with his kidneys.

African Safari in Port Clinton

A few weeks ago our family took a mini road trip to visit the African Safari Wildlife Park in Port Clinton. It is a drive thru safari adventure and walk thru wildlife fun. This was our first time visiting. We had a blast and plan on going again. This is no way sponsored. It was a great little getaway.

We visited on a Saturday. Brian had heard that the line gets long and wanted to get there as soon as they opened. We got on their property and sat in line for 30 minutes before we even got to the gate. I have heard of other families waiting 3 hours just to get to the gate. Our trick was really just getting there early.

Meal Planning Sunday Week

We have a weird week ahead of us with a bunch of unknowns. I am trying to prepare the best I can. It's time for some meal planning Sunday. Each week I am sharing our dinner menu for the upcoming week.

Summer Bucket List 2020

Summer is in full swing over here, just a little different with a pandemic, social distancing, and places slowly opening back up with restrictions. The kids and I sat down and compiled our bucket list for this year.

Summer is here. Our big vacation may have been cancelled but we still have a lot of small road trips planned. As a mom of 3 I know we need to be prepared otherwise the whole way it will be "Are we there yet?" and "I'm Bored". I am sharing a few road trips ideas to help make your trip go smoother with kids.

Meal Planning Sunday

My birthday is coming up, Audrianna is turning 1 in less than a month. This mama has some postpartum goals to reach for. Preparing for the week ahead, knowing what we are having for dinner makes a huge difference on my eating habits. It's time for some meal planning Sunday. Each week I am sharing our dinner menu for the upcoming week.

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday. Umm when did it become Friday. This week has flown by and I can't tell you where it went. I am excited for a busy weekend ahead. I am getting a pedicure as an early birthday present. I haven't had one in 3 years maybe. We are also doing some birthday celebrating with a cookout.

Not Just A Mom- Fun Facts

Happy Monday. Lets be honest here. Who realized it was already the second Monday of June. Not me. Normally I am on top of things. Last week was a rough week on so many levels. I haven't even started using my new planner yet. I am slacking. I need to get back into a schedule over here.

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday. It has been a very emotional stressful week. With everything going on in the world, Brian being a police officer in a local city and getting called in for a protest (thankfully it stayed peaceful after everything that happened in Cleveland over the weekend), Black Out Tuesday was a great learning experience. (I read a lot, talked with the kids about whats going on, and requested some books from the library)

End of the School Year

School is officially out. Yesterday was the official last day. Today is a day of excitement for all of us. Ella is done with 2nd grade. No more online learning, no more fights to do homework, no more zoom calls.... This year has ended far different than anyone expected. That also means our normal end of the year traditions are different too. It is sure to be one we never forget.

I have calmed down on my Amazon shopping. I had gone a little crazy in April with everything I was buying. In May I didn't buy as much, partially because my debit card numbers were stolen and it seemed to take forever to get a new card.

Lets take a look at my Amazon purchases from May.

June Intentions

Can you believe that it is already June 1st. I am ready for things to start being positive, getting back to normal, and opening back up. I am excited we only have a few more days of school left for Ella, and Austin starts summer camp today. Summer weather is here. We are being positive and going to make this the best summer we can.
