Last month we shared Introductions
This month we are talking about Date Nights.
As a mom of 3 our dates nights are few and far between anymore. Last month was the first time in over 6 months that Brian and I were out to dinner without any kids. We may have been at an awards banquet with other couples and didn't get to talk to much, but we were child less. SCORE. We know this is just a phase and things will get better as our 6 month old gets older, and one day takes a bottle.
This year for Christmas I gave Brian 12 pre-planned dates, one each month. January was a coffee date (which hasn't happened yet). They are simple fun things besides just going out to dinner such as going to play mini golf, taking a walk at the beach, wine tasting, etc.
Here are 10 Affordable Date Ideas:
- Painting and Drinks
- Zoo
- Appetizers
- Walk in the Park
- Ice Cream Date
- Have a fire with smores
- Go to a free concert
- Food Truck date
- Go to a ball game
- Try a new restaurant
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
We're at the opposite end of the spectrum now where we no longer need sitters and we are enjoying getting back to regular dating (but honestly we don't think of it nearly as much!!). A bad habit after so many years of putting our kiddos first but we're getting there.
ReplyDeleteI love that you gave Brian the pre-planned dates. That's such a good idea and really thoughtful. I have a hard time getting out with 1, I can't imagine 3!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have no excuses for not having a date night now that our kids are older. We really need to make it a priority! Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! Tanya - The Other Side of the Road
ReplyDeleteLove your date night ideas!
