Hello Monday

Hey friends. How was your weekend? I wanted a more low key weekend after a few busy weekends, and a busy week ahead. I am happy to say I got it. I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday and sharing my weekend recap.

What Brought Me Joy In September

Hey friends!!! It is the end of September and I am still in denial that October is on Tuesday. I have to keep remind myself that it is coming quick. My oldest also turns 13 on Wednesday and I am truly in denial that she is going to be a teenager, even though she has had the attitude of it for a while. I didn't get to share this post earlier in the week so what better time than on a Saturday. Time to look back at what brought me joy in September.

Friday Favorites

Hey friends. We made it to Friday. We took a long weekend last weekend and went down to my sister in law's farm. We had so much fun but it has thrown me off all week. Today I am volunteering for a few hours at my kids school again then hopefully a more relaxing weekend with football.

Meal Planning Week 167 and 168

Hey loves. It has been a crazy week. I feel like I can't get caught up. We were away for a long weekend and came home late Monday night. Tuesday I had a mile long to do list that also included updating out freezer inventory. I made a video sharing how I use the Kitchen Inventory System to inventory our freezers which helps save money and makes meal planning easier. You can check out the video here

I finally got around to making my menu and grocery list on Wednesday. Since I normally do our grocery shopping on Friday I decided to grocery shop for a week and a half of groceries instead of just two days. I also know that Friday is going to be busy since I volunteer for my kids school again.

What's Up Wednesday September 2024

Hey friends. Happy What's Up Wednesday. How is it already the last Wednesday of the month. I am truly in denial. This month as flown. There was so much I had planned to do, but there isn't enough time in the day I swear even with my kids at school all day.

It's that time for What's Up Wednesday with Shay, and Sheaffer. On the last Wednesday of every month we are all invited to share a little bit everything that has been going on for the past month.

On the last week of September here's what's up...

Long Weekend at the Farm

Hey friends. Happy Tuesday. It is starting to feel like fall, but this past week was hot in the 90s where we were in Kentucky then coming home to the 60s is a big change. We had a great weekend at Brian's sisters farm. We got in Monday night than it was time for dinner, showers, and get ready for back to school. Sorry not sorry for all the pictures.

Friday Favorites

Hey friends. Happy Friday. How was your week? I have a sick kid a few days, lots of volunteering at the schools, and changed plans. We have a busy weekend ahead at the farm.

Friday Favorites

Hey friends. Happy Friday. We have made it the first full week of school. It was a rough week. We are still adjusting to the new schedules. Bedtimes are going to be key. It is all a learning process because all my kids deal differently and Anna needs her beauty rest we are learning.

This weekend we have some celebrating of birthdays, none is our house though.

September Intentions

Hey friends. Happy September. Last week I sat down and reflected on my August intentions and set new intentions for September. Then I got sick and laid on the couch or bed for a full 5 days and did nothing. So this is coming at you a little late.

Lets Look Quick Weeknight Dinners

Hey friends. Back to school schedules with sports and homework is in full swing. Tonight my youngest starts soccer for the season. This season she not only has games every Saturday she also has practice every Wednesday at dinner time. I am looking ahead at our schedule for next week and there is something every night. Our weeknights are getting hectic which means we either have to eat dinner early or later. I prefer early because my kids come home hungry, then they can have a snack after activities instead of a full meal right before bed. This is also where meal planning comes into play. If I know it is going to be a hectic night I plan quick dinners sometimes in the crockpot or instant pot, or something quick on the stove. We avoid take out if we can.

I am linking up today with Erika and Shay today for this month's Let Look.Quick Weeknight Dinners.

Share Our Lives Finding Peace in Your Day

Hey friends. How was your weekend? I am ready for a full week of the kids in school and to knock a lot of items off my to do list, at least that is the plan. I had the excuse that nothing got done because the kids were home, no more excuses.

Meal Planning Monday Week 165

Hey friends. It has been forever since I shared a true Meal Plan for the week ahead. I have been sharing grocery hauls over on my youtube channel, and I realize that not everyone checks out youtube. I had a sweet reader reach out to me, suggesting I bring back Meal Planning Monday. She said she loved getting realistic ideas of what to make for dinner. So I am back sharing my weekly meal plan.

Friday Favorites Labor Day

Hey friends. We made it to Friday. For it being a short week, it has been a rough week. On Wednesday morning Anna started with she didn't like school and wants to stay home with mommy. I am sure she was tired and it is a big adjustment to being in school all day and we don't do any electronics before school, and after school they can only have the tv (no tablets or xbox). We are adjusting bedtimes and things are a little better. Last weekend was also a busy weekend. This weekend is way more relaxed. Tomorrow is only suppose to be in the low 60s and rain. I am ready for a lazy day curled up with a book, a pumpkin pie candle, and soup on the stove.

Orlando Business Trip Day 5

Hey friends. A few weeks ago I got to go with Brian on a business trip to Orlando without kids. If you missed anything I already shared

Orlando Business Trip Day 1

Orlando Business Trip Day 2

Orlando Business Trip Day 3

Orlando Business Trip Day 4 (Epcot surprise)

and today is the final day of our trip. We had originally planned to come home Thursday, then it was suppose to be extended until Saturday for Brian to work more while we were down there. After the tornadoes that hit near our house, not knowing the full extend of the damage done to our house, family was still out of power, and the kids crying every night that they wanted their mommy we decided to not extend our trip.

What We Really Did All Summer

Hey friends. Do you also feel like summer flew by in a blink of an eye? Ours was a wonderful mix of busy and lazy. We didn't have a big vacation, just did more smaller things.

I mentally look back and think we didn't do enough, we should have done a big vacation, we didn't check everything off our bucket list. Then I started thinking about all the things we did do, some of which wasn't on our bucket list. I asked my kids if they had a good summer and they said yes. Even though they are not all 100% excited to go back to school. (welcome to have a teenager)

It is all about the memories of what we did do, and not dissecting what we didn't do or could have done differently. (picture overload)

Hey friends. Have you bought any items on Amazon last month?  I am linking up with Tanya over at The Other Side of the Road Prime Purchases. With back to school shopping in person, my kids wanted to go to the store and pick everything out themselves and not do it online, I didn't buy much on Amazon last month.
