Orlando Business Trip Day 2

Hey friends. Two weeks ago I got to go with Brian on a business trip to Orlando without kids. If you missed anything I already shared

What's In My Carry On?

9 Tips for Leaving Kids When You Travel

Orlando Business Trip Day 1

I try to travel with my hair straightened, at least when I leave. It is easier to have my hair down on travel days weather it be in the car or on an airplane. With curly hair it knots so easy, flys in my face if the windows are down, and normally gets thrown up in a ponytail. Having it down and straight is more manageable but more work to begin with. When we left for Orlando I had straightened my hair. Welcome a tropical storm and lots of rain. I went for my hair up with a little flip in the front and braid in the back. This is not my normal style but it worked to not have completely frizzy hair from the rain.

As you can see it is crappy out. We spend the morning at a vacation club membership presentation. There really wasn't anything else to do with the crappy weather, they offered us a gift card, free breakfast, and was suppose to only be 90 minutes. Let's just say 90 minutes turned into 3 hours...

But by the time we got out of there the sun was out.

Brian didn't have training this day, which was Monday, so we headed to Disney Springs.

We ended up at STK for happy hour. How cool is their ceiling. I loved the whole atmosphere of the restaurant.

I started with a delicious expresso martini. The bartender filled it to the top and the waiter had issues walking it over without spilling it.

Their happy hour is smaller portions so we got a bunch and shared. (steak and frites, a slider with truffel fries, and calamari.)

Brian was still hungry so we also ordered their short rib quesadilla. It was by far our favorite.

At Disney Springs you can walk around with a drink. I grabbed a mojito to go, you couldn't pass up the happy hour price.

After walking around for a little bit it looked like it was going to rain. We decided to do some resort hopping. We got on a Disney Resort bus and went tooo....

The Polynesian. My all time favorite hotel. We did a quick walk through the main lobby and shops, then headed outside and ....

took a small boat ride. Surprisingly we had never taken these little boats before. It was relaxing. I would love to stay at the Grand Floridian one day.

The boat took us to the Magic Kingdom. We had to go through security, got a quick picture at the entrance with the pumpkins, but didn't go into the park instead we. ...

Hoped on another little boat that took us to...

Disney's Wilderness Lodge. We had previously never been here. I didn't realize how close it was to the main parks, I thought it was out farther.

The Wilderness Lodge is a gorgeous result with waterfalls, and a huge fireplace. Brian wants to stay here eventually too. After wondering around we hoped on a bus back to Disney Springs.

We went to Enzo's Hideout for a drink. I got a sparkling Sangria and Brian got a martini.

Then we went to Cooke's for some fish and chips. It was delicious.

That's a wrap on day two of trip.
