Friday Favorites Last of 2023

Hey loves. It is the last Friday of 2023. Looking back the year started off with Covid, rough with my father in law passing, then a few weeks later another close friend passing, but ended up turning around. Then the year ended with being sick for the holidays again. It has been a rollercoaster. We are ending the year on vacation. We leave bright and early tomorrow morning to hop on a plane. My kids are so excited, as well and Brian and I.

Time for some Friday Favorites with these lovely ladies: Erika, and Andrea.

Christmas Recap 2023 Part 1

Hey loves. How was your Christmas? Ours did not go as planned. Plans got changed, but everything happens for a reason. We will be celebrating Christmas with Brian's family when we get home from vacation now. I know we are not alone in changing plans and sickness being in homes, especially if you have kids.

I am learning, the hard way, that the holidays are not going to go as planned. Life isn't going to be perfect, the holidays are going to be perfect. Life happens. People get sick. Plans have to change.

What's Up Wednesday

Hey loves. How was your Christmas? Ours went far from planned. It seems to be the trend for the past few years. Someone always gets sick. On the positive we are all feeling better and excited to get away in a few days.

It's that time for What's Up Wednesday with Shay, and Sheaffer. On the last Wednesday of every month we are all invited to share a little bit everything that has been going on for the past month.

On the last week of December here's what's up...

Winter Bucket List

Hey loves. It is officially winter according to the calendar. Even though we got our first glimpse of winter on November 1st waking up to over an inch of snow when we went to bed with nothing. This year we had record high temps for Christmas. We are in hopes of colder temps and snow in the new year. My kids are hoping for a snow day or two this year too. We came up with a fun winter bucket list for this year.

Merry Christmas

Hey loves. I wish you and your family a Christmas full of love, joy and memories with your loves one. Remember it is not about the presents under the tree. The greatest gift you can give your kids is LOVE!!!!

We are spending the day at home enjoying our kids and my parents, sister, and niece will be stopping for as well. Drinking hot chocolate, with the fire lit and watching Christmas movies.

Whatever the holidays may look like for you, I hope you make lasting memories, have joy, enjoy the ones your with, and stay healthy. Slow down and enjoy what is in front of you, it could be a new tradition or seeing something in a different light.

Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,

Feel free to follow along.

Friday Favorite- Almost Christmas

Hey loves. Happy Friday. Are you ready for the holidays? We are celebrating Christmas with Brian's family tomorrow and have a very low key Christmas at home on Monday with just my parents and sister. I put my foot down a few years ago on all the house hopping for the holidays. It is no fun for anyone especially the kids who want to play with all their new toys. This week has been busy with all the school activities and getting all last minute stuff done. (why do we always wait until the last minute to wrap presents?) Even with all the chaos there has been a lot of joy and fun memories.

Thank You and Feedback

Hey loves. Can you believe there is 4 days until Christmas. It is a crazy week with tying up all the loose ends before the holiday. Then the schools like to throw in spirit week with different themed days and events at the school. Monday Anna had her school Christmas party and concert, Wednesday Austin had readers theatre in the morning, then in the afternoon Ella had her bi-annually hearing test. Today Austin had his school party that I volunteered to help and Ella has a club after school. I feel like I am missing something else too. Oh and we got some snow earlier this week. Not enough for a snow day, and it won't last until Christmas but Ella went outside to take a picture of the Christmas lights on the houses with snow.

Hey loves. Happy Monday. It is so crazy to think that Christmas is in one week. Two of my kids go to school all this week, my youngest just has her preschool Christmas party today then is home all week. My Christmas shopping is done, I think I am done baking cookies, but I have all the wrapping and cleaning to do. Oh wait, Anna requested gingerbread cookies so we are going to to that this week.  Hey loves. Happy Friday. This has felt like such a short week. I have been trying to get so much done and feel like I am running in place with a head cut off like a chicken getting nothing, or at least not enough done. Next week Anna is off on break, and we have so many other events, plus all our presents to wrap. 10 days is going to come quick. This weekend the plan is to breathe and enjoy the time with my kids doing some holiday fun.
