Family Favorite Games

Hey loves. One of my goals for this year is to be more intentional and spend quality time with my kids. Sometimes this is easier said than done especially when my kids range from 3 to 11. Finding activities that they all agree on and/or fit their age ranges can be hard. We have been playing more games as a family. We have a shelf in basement with so many games, some have never been opened or played, some the kids have gotten a hold of and pieces are missing. We have been going through them, getting rid of ones that have been destroyed or to many missing pieces, and having fun with it.

Here are some of our current favorites. First little disclaimer: with a 3 year old she is not always playing with us, or plays by her own rules or part of a team. Don't get discouraged when things don't always go as planned. Games are meant to be fun and enjoying the company you are with.

Dinner Menu Monday Week 126

Hey loves. Happy Monday. It is finally a week back to normalcy or at least I hope it is. Kids have a normal school schedule, Ella and Austin are keeping up busy with their extra curricular activities, and Brian's work is picking up. With all that Monday's are our new crazy nights and will probably turn into crockpot nights because we will not be eating together. One kids activities ends at 530 and another one starts at the same time. This is a new adventure for us. Lets take a look at this weeks dinner menu:

Friday Favorites

Hey loves. It's Friday. We made it through another rough week. But we are still pushing, trying to stay positive, and have a busy weekend ahead. I hate that my blog has been more negative with sad news that has been going on the past few weeks, unfortunately that has been our reality. This is not the 2023 we were hoping for. A dear friend asked how I was coping and keeping my head high and positive with everything going on? I am doing it for my kids, Brian, and our loved ones who have passed. Life doesn't stop just because someone has passed away. They would not want us to just stop living, not curl up and cry 24/7. They would want us to continue living for them remembering and sharing positive memories. With that it's time for some Friday Favorites to share the happy moments, what is bringing me happiness this past week. As always linking up with Erika, and Andrea.

Our Week trying to get back in the swing

Hey loves. Still over here trying to get into a good normal routine. Last week we still had some family in town, some fun, and another passing...

Declutter Your Home

You would think that when we moved only a year ago I would have purged and decluttered before we moved in. That only happened a little. Now that we have a bigger house I feel like we have collected a lot more stuff that we don't use. Are you in the same boat? Items sitting around collecting dust, overflowing book shelves, clothes that don't fit, toys that aren't played with, etc. Especially after the holidays and more stuff is brought into the house.

Dinner Menu Monday on a Tuesday

Hey loves. Anyone else not know what day it is? From my kids all having off school yesterday for MLK day to having so much family love and support to having two very close people passing away, I can't tell you what day it is. I finally have started cleaning out the fridge, pantry, and upstairs freezer and making lists and got an instacart order put in. (I still need to do the basement deep freezer.) Here is dinner menu Monday on a Tuesday

Friday Favorites

Hey loves. We finally made it to the weekend. This week just seemed the longest ever. I am happy to be getting back to our normal routines. My kids have a three day weekend ahead. Then two of them only have three days next week then another 3 day weekend. (Wish me luck). This is my reminder to stop up on healthy snacks for them or they will eat me out of a house.

First off I want to deeply thank each an everyone of you that reached out with your condolences and kind words over the loss of my father in law. It means the world to me and Brian to have a community of amazon women who love and support us. From the bottom of my heart thank you.

Our Week- A Sad One

Hey loves. First week of 2023 recap. Trigger warning this is the week my father in law passed away. It was a crazy week with a lot going on and a lot of people in and out of our house. I also didn't take very many pictures.

Lets Look Organizing a Busy Family

Hey loves. Happy Wednesday. It has been another crazy week. I am ready for a vacation and a day to just sit home and relax, maybe that will fit on the schedule next week. Life and three kids going in different directions. Yesterday I joked that I had taxi written on my forehead with driving around. I was either at my computer doing hours for my cosmetology license or driving for the girls somewhere. I know it is just going to get worse.

This going along with todays topic for Let's Look with Erika and Shay. Today we are looking at how we schedule/organize a busy family. I am sharing what I currently do as a mom of three with my kids ages 3, 7, and 11. I know this is going to change a lot when they get older and are doing more activities.

Not Just A Mom Introductions

Hey loves. It's the second Monday of the month which means it's time for Not Just A Mom link up with these amazing ladies: DaraJenJoannaLauren, and Sarah. Before I jump into this months top I want to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers this past week My father-in law was is hospice and did pass away Friday morning. Our house has been crazy as the home base for everyone at this time. Brian has six siblings and five of them were able to make it home. We have had so many family and friends stop by, donate dinners and breakfast, etc. Every day we had between 15 to 25 people over keeping each other company and sharing the good times. I am so grateful and thankful for everyone and everything they have done.

Friday Favorites

Hey loves. Happy first Friday of 2023. I wish I could say that our new year has been off to a great start but that would be a lie. As I type this on Thursday afternoon 6 out of 7 siblings are home and spending their days here at the hospice with Brian's dad. It has been physically, mentally, and emotionally draining on all of us, including my kids are we are sharing with them what is going on with their grandpa and went took them up there to see him sleep.

With that I am still trying to be positive and encouraging. The past few weeks I have slacked on taking many pictures  but was able to find a few.

Holiday Break Recap

Hey loves. Things are getting back to normal on the home and with school. Outside of that bubble most of Brian's siblings, he is one of seven, are home with his father in hospice. Prayers are appreciated for Brian, his siblings, and his mom.

January Current Intentions

Hey loves. Happy 2023. How is your new year so far? My first few days have been productive. Which means a lot of cleaning and getting my life and house back in order. My kids went back to school today so we are getting back into our routines.

After taking a look back at the previous intentions for each month, I am switching it up. Instead of a long overwhelming list that I get discouraged when I don't get to check things off because I didn't complete them. Instead I am going to do a simple list each month.

Happy New Year

Hey loves. Can you believe that it is January 2023? Who is with me and loves a new month and especially a new year. 2022 did not end as planned. After Christmas our family got hit with Covid again and Brian's dad is in the hospital. He was on a ventilator, but it off it now. He still has a long road ahead of him but seems to be improving every day. We also have family in from Seattle during all this, our visits started outside and are now inside with everyone having negative tests back. It is great to see them as they come home only once a year if we are lucky.

Are you starting the new year off with new goals or even refocusing on old goals? I am so excited to refocus and dial in on what I need and want in my life. I am all about setting personal and professional realistic goals for myself. I will also still be sharing and reflect on my monthly goals with you to help hold me accountable.

Dinner Menu Monday Week 124

Hey loves. Happy Monday and Happy New Year. I am back with another week of our dinner menus. I opted to change up the name since I usually only share the dinner menu not my whole weekly menu. Do you plan our all your meals for the week or just dinner?

With January comes along everyone jumping back on the health and wellness wagon, myself included. I am going back to eating foods that I enjoy but also make me feel good. For the past few months I have had way to many sweets and foods that don't necessarily agree with my body and boy can I feel it. Time to get back to the changes that make me feel good.
