Carpool Book Club

Hey friends. Happy Thursday. I can't believe it is the last Thursday of the month and the last day of the month already. It is time for Carpool Book Club with Grace and Love

Each month I share the books that I have read. Most of the books I read I download on my kindle. It is so much easier with kids running around and I don't have to worry about someone tearing a page or moving my bookmark.
Each month my goal is to read:
- one personal development/motivation/parenting book
- one book with my girlfriends book club
- one book for fun

My other goal for November was to read 6 books and get back into some sort of reading routine. I did pretty well with the routine. I ended up reading 5 and 1/2 books.

My girlfriends and I decided to pause our book club until after the New Year. Things are crazy with the holidays, one started a new full time job, and one is working two jobs, then you have me and another girl who are SAHM. Starting in January we will be starting with the last 50 Shades of Gray book (reading it again) so we can go see the movie.

I have been reading Ignore It! by Catherine Pearlman for a few weeks. It has taken a lot longer than I expected since you read some then enforce it, then go back and read more. I love the concept, I love the way that it has started working, but with shared parenting I feel like something each time she comes home from her dad's we are starting from the beginning again. I'm still not done with the book but had to share.

Better Home and Hauntings by Molly Harper. I squeezed in a little Halloween book right at the end of October. It was on our list for book club. It wasn't a typical book I would choose myself, but I really liked it. The first few chapters didn't really hook you, but the middle and the end I couldn't put the book down.

Bitch Slap by J. Kenner. This book is a back and forth lust, love, romance novel fighting love in the workplace. It is a great read.

Christmas Kisses and Cookies by Linda West. I have been in the Christmas spirit and have so many romance Christmas books to keep me occupied for a few months. This was a quick easy read

Love and a Snow Storm by ZoYo Press. This was another quick hooked read. I read it in two days and just couldn't put the book down. It is part of a series, but you don't have to read the first book to understand this one.

The Christmas Secret by Jeannie Watt Lil is staying in her cabin on Christmas to avoid a wedding of her ex fiancee happening at home when a blizzard hits. Out of nowhere a man shows up at her cabin who she least expected and turns her world upside down. Will she find her own Happily Ever After or go crazy stuck in the cabin?

What are some of your favorite Christmas books to read?
