These past few weeks have been a whirl wind of a blur. We have had a bunch of stress and excitement with my pregnancy and the early arrival of our precious baby. Baby Gilbert (baby's last name) arrived two weeks ago today. And

30 weeks update
Monday, May 20, 2019
To say time is flying is an understatement. We have 10 weeks but probably less until we meet our bundle of joy. We are no way prepared for the arrival but we are getting there and when it happens it happens and we will make due. Because really are you ever 100% prepared?
Pregnancy Update: Week 27
Monday, April 29, 2019
Happy Monday. Hope you had a great weekend. I am so excited that Ella is home with us after being on vacation with her dad for the past week. Now it is time to get her back into the swing of school, a schedule, and having rules.
So much has been going on with this pregnancy. When they say every pregnancy is different, they aren't lieing. I hate being told "Well you are older". I am only 33, I had a baby 4 years ago and didn't have these same problems then. Let's take a minute to document what is going on so far.
27 Weeks
22 Weeks, some big milestones and not so good news
Monday, March 25, 2019
Time is starting to fly this pregnancy, or at least is starting to feel like it is moving along. This past week I had my latest doctors appointment. When the nurse told me I was half way there and it was time to start filling out hospital paperwork, and right before my next appointment (which I will be 25 weeks) I can get my glucose test I was in complete denial. I can't be that far already. The reality hit I have so much to do before then. But are we really ever ready for a new baby to come.
18 weeks and a high risk
Monday, February 25, 2019
Happy Monday. It is already feeling like a Monday at 10 am. I am ready for Tuesday to get here and a fresh start. We had an eventful windy weekend with losing power, and damage done to the kids swing set. Once the wind finally dies down we will see what can be done with it. We also, I say we as in the guys finished our basement for the most part that we have a brightly colored living space with a kids toy area. It is so relaxing having this extra space, more on that later.
I haven't done a pregnancy update in a while so I thought I would drop in and share some updates.

Happy Monday and Happy New Year!!!!! It's my first post for 2019, and really my first post in over a month. Sometimes life just happens and you have an unplanned blogging break. ( I have actually had an unplanned break from the real world too). I somewhat enjoyed my break but I am ready to get back into the blogging world, I missed it.
Austin is here
Thursday, July 23, 2015
Austin is here. He was born on July 15, 2015 at 4:01 pm, weighing 6 pounds and 9.8 oz and 20 inches long. It was a very quick labor followed by an eventful 48 hours and a week in the NICU.
We are all finally home. He was released from the NICU yesterday at one week old. Today is the first day of being a family of 4 at home. Brian had to go to work for a few hours today so it is just me and the kids. So far so good.
All the details on the labor, delivery, hospital stay, NICU... to come soon.

38 Weeks
Monday, July 13, 2015
Who would of thought I would still have a baby in my belly at 38 weeks. Surely not me. This kid is about to get an eviction notice. (No I will not be induced again if I have a say in it.) I'm getting to the miserable stage where I hurt all the time and I'm so done being pregnant. Austin on the other hand is in his glory still high up as can be.
Last Wednesday I went to the Dr. and found out I am now 5cm dilated. She did some wiggling around and said she wouldn't be surprised if I had Austin that night. I did end up in the hospital that evening with contractions 5 minutes apart but no change in dilation again. They were also really busy that night so I am kinda glad I didn't have Austin then. There was no room in either waiting room, all rooms were filled, and some people were having to deliver in the OR since no rooms were available.
Since Wednesday I have been having random painful contractions but nothing to consistent for a long enough time period. One of these days Austin will decide to make his appearance.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 16 pounds
Maternity Clothes: lazy large clothes
Gender: Its a boy
Movement: All the time especially when you don't want him to.
Sleep: I have good nights and bad nights
Cravings: chocolate, wings, deep fried pickles, root beer floats
Symptoms: contractions, pressure, movement, mucus plug keeps getting lost, lots of pain

Baby Shower
Tuesday, July 7, 2015
I know Austin is my second child, but he is Brian's first. Brian's family threw me/us a wonderful baby shower so I could relax, stop stressing, and so they could all spoil the first grandchild for Brian's mom. He is the first grandchild in 19 years. (long family tree)
This was the first party that I didn't have a say in anything. My previous bridal, bachelorette, baby, birthday parties, etc I have also had a say with what was going on, if not just planning most of it myself. It took a lot of me to just sit there and relax but I think I did a good job. The party turned out great and I was very relieved, excited, thankful, grateful, ....
Austin's room is going to be pirates themed. (I can't wait until it is finished to post pictures) So Brian's sister in law and her sister, planned the party to be Nautical themed. They had a lot of fun on Pinterest getting ideas. I wish I would have remember to take pictures of everything, these are just ones I stole from them.
To eat we had finger foods: cheese and crackers, deviled eggs, gold fish, Swedish fish, dill bread, mixed fruit ...
Games played: my water broke with ice cubes and little babies, how many Swedish fish in a bowl, and guess how big my belly is ...
All the guests were also suppose to sign a onesie that we are going to hang in Austin's room also.
Unforunately it was raining and we were all stuck in the house. But it worked out very well. We were blessed with a lot of presents, all of which were stuff that will be used. I had some extra hands with opening presents since Aubriella and Claudia were at the party. (they were the only kids allowed to be there)
For dessert they got a chocolate cake, which chocolate is my favorite and one of my cravings. We also had root beer floats, which is another one of my cravings and special since I don't normally drink pop and only a treat since I am pregnant.
Since I had previously had a baby shower I didn't feel it was right to invite all the same people/friends/family to a second shower. I did invite a few people in my family and my two closest friends. So the rest was Brian's family and his employees, which use to be my co-workers.
We are both very grateful for everything that everyone has done for us. Thank you just never seems like enough words for how blessed we feel.
37 weeks
Monday, July 6, 2015
I can't believe I still technically have 3 weeks to go. I feel like I could go any day and I think I am pretty much ready for Austin to make his appearance. But are you really ever ready? I say that and I have piles of clothes in his room that need put away and hung up still, some medicine I want to go buy so I have some on hand, and a few other things.
I've had a very eventful last week. On last Wednesday I started having contractions around 7pm. I didn't think anything of it, its normal for me to have some every 20 minutes or for an hour then they go away, so Brian and I went shopping. While shopping I noticed they were getting closer together and more intense. I told him we needed to finish up so I could go home and relax and start timing the frequency of the contractions. The started off around 12 minutes apart then 8 minutes and went down to 5 minutes before we headed to the hospital. While at the hospital the contractions got down to being 2 minutes apart, but my dilation never changed. We sat at the hospital for 3 hours before they let me go home and told me to just relax. Once we got home I laid down in my comfy bed again they started spreading out and I was able to fall asleep. Since then I have only had a few strong contractions and nothing to regular. On Thursday and Friday I was so sore from the contractions all I did was relax.

Baby Bump

Who doesn't love to see pregnant belly pics? I still go back and look at my belly when I was pregnant with Aubriella. I even compare how big or should I say small I was with her to how big I am now with Austin. I also can't wait to see how much belly I lose just from having him then how quickly I lose more and get back into shape once I am able to get back into working out and doing my Beachbody exercise programs.
This past weekend I just had my mom and sister take some pictures of Aubriella, Brian, me and my belly. I didn't get one of the three of us though. I may have to have someone take one of those real soon before I pop.
Here is the ones with Aubriella and me. Shes such a little goober and didn't want to take many but was cute when we did take them. She just wanted to go back and play.

My niece Claudia got jealous so I had to take a picture with her too.

Now the ones of just me. My favorite one is last.
Here is me today. 36 weeks and 4 days.
36 weeks and a birthday
Tuesday, June 30, 2015
Yesterday I was finally 36 weeks. We have hit the much awaited mark of keeping Austin inside my belly. We succeeded. So whenever Austin decides he is done cooking we are in the clear. They will not try to stop my labor and I have had all the shots and tests done. There is no guarantee that he won't be in the NICU but a lesser chance, and hopefully wouldn't be for long. We also decided that I am not going back to work until after Austin is born. We have determined to much stress and excitement causes me more contractions and we still want Austin to stay in as long as possible.

Yesterday was also my birthday. I can't believe I am 30 already. The bad thing is since I didn't really do to much for my birthday I don't feel like I got older. Years ago I traveled on my birthday and spent most of the day in the airport. I kept giving everyone the wrong age.
For my birthday I had the luxury of having a quite house to myself in the morning. Brian was at work and Aubriella had a sleep over at Grandma's. I woke up at 5:30 then went back to sleep at 7. Then didn't get up again until 10. Watched my show "Mistresses" since I can't watch that when Ella is home. I eventually got ready treated myself to Chick-fil-la for lunch then went and got my stickers. (I know nothing like waiting until the last minute. I kept forgetting. I blame it on pregnancy brain.) Then I had a drs appointment and went to my parents to celebrate.
We had bbq chicken, corn on the cob, macaroni salad and pasta salad for dinner. Also an ice cream cake. All of which I had requested. Then it was present time.
My mom got me both the hand mixer so I can make cakes and mashed potatoes and the hand blender so I can make soups and who knows what else.
Aubriella bought me some opal earrings. Her birthday is in October and she is still making up for "packing" all my jewelry that hasn't been found and potentially could have been thrown away.
Brian got me a Pandora bracelet and 3 charms. The first heart is cause he loves me. The "Love" with the mickey ears are because I love Disney. The heard with the hand print and "it's a boy" is because we are having a boy. I love the each charm has so much meaning to me.
Easier Said Than Done
Thursday, June 25, 2015
The Dr. put me on modified bed rest almost 2 weeks ago in hopes of getting my contractions to slow down and to stop/slow down my dilation. That is so much easier said than done. Modified bed rest just means not being up and about for an extended period of time, relaxing, and not working. It doesn't mean I have to stay in bed, that would be horrible and would never happen. All of this is easier said then done especially when I have a 3 year old who wants all my attention and I could make a list a mile long that I would like to get done before Austin's arrival or just needs done in the house.
We are also currently potty training so I have to jump up whenever Aubriella says "Mom I have to pee." There is also the times when she has an accident and says "Mom I have a present for you" and says which room she left her mess in. Luckily that doesn't happen to often.
There is also all "Mom come play with me. Mom I want another bubbles. Mom I need help with finding Minnie. Mom can you get me down my crayons. Mom let's do play doh" All of which I love to do. I am enjoying our quality alone time together with having my mom, sister, and niece around. But sometimes the mess I have to clean up afterwards is worse is more than I should be doing.
We just finished her outside play area (more on that another day) but I'm waiting for the every day "Mom lets go outside and play, Mom come in my house with me." Sorry mommy can't do everything she would love to do with you.
Then there is the issue with Aubriella wanting to eat or a drink, which seems like all the time right after I sit down. The fridge we have has the freezer on the bottom and the fridge on the top. Ella can't easily get anything out of the fridge unless it is on the door. It is nice that she isn't standing in the fridge for no reason which she did all the time at my parents house, but since she can't get anything out herself I have to get up more that I would like to.
The other huge reason I have with sitting and relaxing is we have just moved into this house about a month ago. There is so many boxes that still need gone thru and organized. Not to mention my storage unit is still not unpacked.
Austin's room also isn't completely ready and that stresses me out. Brian's family is throwing me a small baby shower on Sunday so hopefully after that I can get the rest of his room together and relax some more. Having the party here also leaves me with a bunch of cleaning and organizing I want to do. I don't want a bunch of people over my house and it looking my a tornado hit it in my eyes. Even if everyone else things my house looks nice.
Luckily being on the modified bed rest has helped some. I am almost at 36 weeks, which is our safe zone. I am up to 4cm dilated now though. The best part of all of this is the amount of one on one time I have had to share with Aubriella before Austin gets here. Ella was with her father over the weekend then she went camping with my parents for a few days so I did get some more relaxing done and didn't do to much around the house. Back to the waiting game of Austin's arrival.
