Preschool Graduation

Hey friends. How is my last child already heading to Kindergarten in the Fall? I feel like she was just born yesterday.

First Day of Pre-K

Hey loves. How is your week going? Are your kids back to school?  All 3 kids are back to school. Yesterday Anna started pre-k. She was so excited to go.

First Day of Preschool

Hey loves. I am a little empty nest syndrome going on over here with all 3 kids in school. Anna started preschool yesterday, which she will go 3 days a week for 2 and a half hours a day. I also am in the mindset that I can get so much done in that 2 ish hours and really I can't. Time to evaluate my to do list again.

Crossing A Bridge

It's official. I have a Kindergartner!!!!! I don't know who is more excited for full day kindergarten next year her or me. We all say it, "they grow up way to fast" but really they do. You blink you eyes and they are doing something new, growing before our own eyes, learning every day, and getting older and sometimes wiser.
Ella had her last day of Pre-K on May 24 and graduation on May 25. I love how her school did a special program and bridging ceremony with songs, caps, and diploma's. I have to admit I got a little teary eyed.

Ella went to a small private school for Preschool and Pre-K. We loved it there. It was very active and a different sense of learning then just sitting and being taught. They learned through play, but also had lots of free time and obstacle courses to help get rid of bottled up energy.
Her class this year was small, there was only 14 kids and 2 teachers.  During her graduation, all the kids walked out in and stood in line. The teachers introduced each kid, then they sand a bunch of cute, animated little songs. After there performance they had a bridging ceremony. Each kid was introduced again, said what they wanted to be when they grew up, walked over a bridge and were hanged a diploma. It was very cute. Ella wants to be a cheerleader when she grows up.

Afterwards we had the opporunity to take pictures on the bridge and throughout the class room. Ella received a bouquet of flowers from her Ma-G (her fathers mothers) and another one from her father. Ella was so excited to receive flowers and happy they were able to make it to see her graduate. Also there was Brian, my mom, my niece Claudia, and myself.

Ella made one best friend who she can't stop talking about. She wants to play with her everyday, and move in with her. I hope they are lifelong friends.

She may have not physically grown much but she is a brand new kid. From her counting to 100 by herself, knowing all the alphabet, better listening skills, her patience, her manners and so much more. (I have no idea why that is from her last day of Preschool and last day of Pre-K, I lost a photo somewhere)

As our treat for Ella for graduating we let her pick where she wanted to go to dinner. She picked her favorite restaurant, BJ's Brewhouse. She also dressed herself. She has on pants and a shirt, a Minnie Mouse shirt, with her zebra coat, dress shoes, and topped it off with her Minnie Mouse ears.

We still have many more years of school, and she will forever be growing up in front of our own eyes, making memories and sharing love along the way.

Special Visitors Day

This past Monday was Grandparents / Special Visitors Day at school. I had invited both of my parents to go for Ella's special day. The way things were planned was since my sister had to work, my dad would get my niece off the bus and my mom would go to Ella's special day. Unfortunately my mom got a headache and was unable to drive. Instead my father stepped up and went to Ella's school. I also went since I forgot to send a note to school with Ella saying that my father could have brought her home.
The kids started off being introduced and singing 3 very adorable songs that they re-did to say Special Visitor and had hand motions. Ella is always shy during school performances and doesn't really do the hand motions. She didn't get stage fright from me. I can perform in front of anyone.

After their cute little performance the kids got to grab there special visitors and bring them onto the floor to have a dance party. They played like 5 songs, one being the chicken dance.

The last song with just a dance around be crazy song. Ella and my father both really enjoyed it.

The last activity they had for Special Visitors day was the kids got to make a craft dealing with patterns. They could make either a necklace or bracelet with yarn and Fruit Loops.

I helped Ella with hers when she was having problems. The teachers had taped one end of the yarn to help the kids get the string through the fruit loops. Still some of the fruit loops had a smaller hole.

Instead of Ella giving her craft to her PaPaw she decided she wanted to keep it for herself. On the way home she decided to make the Fruit Loops disappear and ate them. (The teachers told them it was ok)
Ella and PaPaw both enjoyed Special Visitors Day even though she really wanted MeMaw there also.

Preschool Christmas Party

Aubriella had her preschool Christmas party yesterday. It was a snack pot luck buffet then the kids sang Christmas songs followed by a surprise appearance by Santa Claus. It was a lot of fun.
For the pot luck I signed up and brought a veggie tray. Everyone else waa bringing a lot of sugary others, I needed something to counter act all that sugar.

Ella also brought a small gift for each if her 4 teachers. We did little nail polishes with hand lotion and gloves. They turned out cute.

I was surprised that Ella sat on Santa's lap. She did tell him he wasn't the real Santa since we saw the real one the day before. But still no ideas what she wants for Christmas.
