Happy New Year and 2025 Blog Recap

Hey loves. Happy New Year. We have survived all the holiday fun and ready for all the things the new year brings. I had no intentions of taking off the last week from blogging, but life happens. Between going away the weekend before Christmas to squeezing 3 days of work into 1 day, throw in all the Christmas parties, a 40th birthday party celebration, a hiccup that I didn't need, and New Years, life has been crazy.

I may not have ended the year how I had planned but I have learned that life throws you curl balls and you have to roll with it. God always has a bigger vision for you. Right now mine is to relax and enjoy the twinkle of the Christmas lights (that came down on Saturday) and the joy of the season. I have been dealing with a flare up of my back and been on the couch for the last week (plus going to work for a few hours a day to get stuff ready for the next church service and all the year end budget/bills).

It's a triple post Monday. Sharing our meal plan for the week, Happy New Year and Blog Recap from 2025, and Amazon Lately December 2025

12 Things to Learn in 2025

Hey loves. In the last few weeks I have shared my Word of the Year, Yearly Goals, January Goals, and 25 Things to Do in 2025. I mentioned that I want to learn 12 new things in 2025.

25 Things To Do in 2025

Hey loves. In the last few weeks I have shared my Word of the Year, Yearly Goals, and January Goals. I mentioned 25 Things to Do in 2025, lets talk about it.

Ode to 2024

Hey friends. Happy New Year. The Good, the bad, and the ugly. I share mostly the positive of life here on my blog, who really wants to hear all the negative. Through-out the year I have been compiling a list of the good, and the bad. I love reflecting back on the year. Let's recap it. and some random thoughts at the end too.

2025 Word of the Year

Hey loves. Happy New Year. I love this time of the year. It always feels like fresh start, the opportunity to look back at the back year of what you enjoyed and what you want to change.

The past few weeks I have been doing a lot of thinking for my word of the year for 2025. A few years back I stopped setting new years resolutions instead I pick a word of the year and based on the word I set goals or specific intentions.

Happy New Year

Hey loves. Hoping 2025 brings joy, happiness, and love.

Word of the Year 2024

Hey friends. Happy 2024. Hope you had a wonderful, happy, healthy, and safe New Year. We are starting off 2024 on vacation, something we have never done before. Enjoying relaxing, and finding some fun along the way.

Like many people I am also reflecting on the past year and thinking about the new year and wanting to be intentional and focused when I get back from vacation. Before we left I prepared some for a new year and working towards goals that I have made for myself.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year. Hoping 2024 brings joy, happiness, and love.

Happy New Year

Hey loves. Can you believe that it is January 2023? Who is with me and loves a new month and especially a new year. 2022 did not end as planned. After Christmas our family got hit with Covid again and Brian's dad is in the hospital. He was on a ventilator, but it off it now. He still has a long road ahead of him but seems to be improving every day. We also have family in from Seattle during all this, our visits started outside and are now inside with everyone having negative tests back. It is great to see them as they come home only once a year if we are lucky.

Are you starting the new year off with new goals or even refocusing on old goals? I am so excited to refocus and dial in on what I need and want in my life. I am all about setting personal and professional realistic goals for myself. I will also still be sharing and reflect on my monthly goals with you to help hold me accountable.

Mid Year Goals

Hey loves. Can you believe we are over halfway through 2022. I hope this year is going better for you than the past two years. For our family this year has been a lot better, from seeing more family, making new friends, having quality time together, buying a new house, etc.

Before we even get into looking at what goals I set for myself at the beginning of the year, I want to share how I am currently feeling overall. Plus what I have accomplished/achieved. Then we will dive into my goals for 2022 and update of my goals.

The Best Year Yet, Goals and Word for 2022

One can only hope that 2022 will be the best year yet. The past few years have sucked to say the least. Instead of dwelling in the past lets focus on the future and make it the best year yet!!!

If am a being completely honest the start of 2022 has already sucked too. I got sick the end of December that carried over into January. The time we had Ella got changed because her dad was sick over Christmas so I didn't have her for New Years like originally planned. On January 1st we woke up with news that Brian's dad was taken to the hospital. Ella came home from her dads and tested positive right before the kids were suppose to be home so they were also home for another week. It was not how we wanted to start off our new year.

We are now 12 days in and 353 left this year. No where does it say you have to start on January 1st with a dramatic change, or a change will never happen. You could have started on the first or start today working towards what you want to achieve.

Word of the Year

Do you pick a word of the year?

Let's Do It!!!!! No Resolution 2021

2021 is here!!! Even though there is no magic changing everything back to normal. We can still be look at the future, things are going to get better. 2021 is not going to completely suck. 2021 can be a fresh start, turning a leaf over for the better, a new outlook, a new change, besides just a new day.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year. Hoping 2021 brings joy, happiness, love, and back to some normalcy.

2020 brought so many struggles, challenges, adventures that we would have never imagine, cancelled plans, friends and family pushed apart, but also lot of learning, loving, time together with just us, and memories. There were lots of tears, worry, love, and prayers.

Friday Favorites - Christmas Break

Hey friends. Happy New Year!!! It is the first Friday of 2020. Ella's holiday break is coming to an end. Austin is starting preschool two days a week starting next week also. I am ready to get back some normalcy and figure out a routine that works for all of us.

Now time for some Friday Favorites with these three lovely ladies: ErikaNarci, and Andrea. Here is some of our excitement so far over Christmas break.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year

This year we stayed in and celebrated at home with all 3 kiddos. From junk food, to games, dance parties, and Disney fireworks streamed on the TV.  I wouldn't have it any other way.

Words can never really express how grateful and thankful I am for all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this past year special. Thank you for taking the time each day and stopping by my little piece of the internet, your kind words, your support, and your love.

I am so excited to see what 2020 brings. I have so much planned from recipes, to giveaways, to collaborations, fun monthly link ups, and much more. Juggling being a stay at home mom of 3 has shown to be harder than I ever expected and my lack of blogging showed. I am hoping with new adventures on the horizon, I will get back to a good schedule for myself and my blog.

Happy New Year (with kids)

Happy New Year!!! I can't believe 2018 is already here. 2017 sure did fly by with lots of fun, great memories, life changes, some cries, and a lot of laughs. Overall it was a great year. I am excited to welcome 2018.

We brought in the new year at home as a family. Too many family members and friends have been sick and we are trying to stay healthy this year, at least as much as possible. I personally had no desire to go out in the cold, to drink, and to be out on the roads with possible drunks. Plus it was our year to have Aubriella for New Years Eve. Family night was what we all needed.

New Years Eve Day started off with Brian and Ella going to the store to buy "junk" as Ella's called it for our New Year Eve snacks. They also brought home donuts for breakfast. Austin enjoyed his chocolate frosted donut so much that he was saving some for later. For the most part we had a lazy day playing with new toys, cleaning some of the house, and relaxing.

My girlfriend Lyndsey over at Momma Fit Lyndsey shared this cute "Year Review for Kiddos" in her Intentional 2018 community. She posted a really cute printable, but we don't have ink for our printer so I made my own version.

I will be putting this in Ella's yearly folder and will do a new one each year. I love to see what she is enjoying and what she wants to do. Some of this took reminding her what we did last year.

We spent part of our evening playing this new board game that Brian got for his birthday from Ella. Disney Beat the Parents. Only Brian and Ella played, I helped Ella since she couldn't read everything. It was a fun game and Ella won.

Brian made a bunch of junk food in our new air fryer. We had onion rings, homemade fries, homemade pickles, mozzarella sticks, hot dogs in crescents rolls (theses were baked), and wings. Being the end of the year and we are going back to eating fresh, homemade, wholesome food, this was like the last bang. We love the new air fryer. Even though the food was junk food it was healthier than being deep fried.

New Year Eve wouldn't be complete without fun hats and blow horns. The kids were given the horns a few minutes before midnight and they magically disappeared by morning.

Our tradition is to live stream Disney's New Year Eve celebration instead of watching the typical Time Square New Year Eve. We hook up the laptop to our tv (we just need to get a smart tv) and watch the fun for the 20 minutes it is aired.

Hope you had a fun and safe New Year Eve!!!
