Hey loves. It is my favorite time of the year. It is time for our annual holiday home tour for 2025. Come on in....

Christmas Bucket List 2025

Hey loves. December can feel like a blur. So much going on from school events, work get togethers, get togethers with friends, sports still happening plus all the things you and your family want to do also. As we dive into a busy month lets take a moment to set our intentions that pertain to the Christmas season. My kids and I sat down on their snow day on Tuesday and make out a realistic Christmas bucket list.

Christmas Prep

Hey loves. It is hard to believe Christmas is 44 days away. My kids every morning ask Alexa how many days until Christmas. To say they are excited is an understatement. They have already started asking when their Elf friend, Gusgus and his friend Snowflake are coming back, wanting to drive around and look at Christmas lights, decorate our house, etc. The happy memories, the twinkle in my kids eyes, the excitement for Christmas brings my children and me so much joy.

Since I am not allowed to decorate until after Thanksgiving (one I live with a scrooge, two we host Thanksgiving for over 20 people and we don't have the space for 3 trees, a long formal dining room table, and all the things) I try to have as much done and/or prepped before Thanksgivings so we can relax and enjoy the holiday, as well as the crazy schedule that comes along with it. Here are some planning that you can do advance.

Christmas Home Tour 2024

Hey loves. It is my favorite time of the year and the house is finally done being decorated, at least as much as it is getting done for this year. It is time for our annual holiday home tour for 2024. Come on in....

Christmas Recap 2023 Part 2

Hey friends. Christmas didn't go as planned again this year, story of my life. Our Christmas with Brian's family got pushed back until after our vacation due to sickness. You can read about Christmas part 1 here.

Originally we were suppose to be hosting Christmas with Brian's family on Saturday December 23. The day before Austin ended up with an ear ache, missed school and I took him to the express care to get checked out. Turned out he had an ear infection (in the ear that wasn't bothering him) and he tested positive for RSV even though he didn't have any other symptoms of it. We made the decision to not host Christmas not wanting to get anyone else sick, especially Grandma right before our vacation. The extended family still got together at Grandma's house just to hang out but we waited on presents until after we got home from vacation.

Merry Christmas

Hey loves. I wish you and your family a Christmas full of love, joy and memories with your loves one. Remember it is not about the presents under the tree. The greatest gift you can give your kids is LOVE!!!!

We are spending the day at home enjoying our kids and my parents, sister, and niece will be stopping for as well. Drinking hot chocolate, with the fire lit and watching Christmas movies.

Whatever the holidays may look like for you, I hope you make lasting memories, have joy, enjoy the ones your with, and stay healthy. Slow down and enjoy what is in front of you, it could be a new tradition or seeing something in a different light.

Hey loves. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the years and I love making all the lasting memories with my kids. Some of my favorite memories as a kid are from around the holidays. Here are a few more of my families favorite Christmas traditions.

Holiday Home Tour 2022

Hey loves. It is the holiday season, the house is decorated for Christmas!!! Today I am opening my door and giving you a little holiday home tour.

Christmas Traditions Part 1

Hey loves. We are in full on Christmas and holiday fun mode over here. Making all the lasting memories. I love Christmas traditions that we do year after year, that my kids enjoy, are excited about, and will remember for years. It is important to me and my family that we do traditions that we like. I love each year when they ask about a certain tradition such as this year Ella is so excited to drive around at Christmas lights, Anna wakes up looking for our Elf, and Austin is loving reading all the books. With that here are a few our of favorites Christmas traditions:

Christmas Bucket List 2022

Christmas is right around the corner. With that comes all the fun of the holiday. My kids and I sat down this past weekend and came up with some ideas of things they would like to do this Christmas season.

Most Wonderful Time of the Year- Holiday Tips

Hey loves. Most of us are still thinking about fall festivals, pumpkin spice everything, and Halloween. The reality is 68 days until Christmas Eve. It is never to early to start thinking about the holidays. (Even Amazon had prime day last week and). As if our lives aren't crazy enough lets add in all the craziness that the holidays bring.

This is the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, let's not get overwhelmed with the holidays. Today I am sharing tips to really make this year the Most Wonderful Time of the Year. (I celebrate Christmas so I reference Christmas in this post but you can use these tips for most holidays)

Christmas 2021

Christmas 2021 did not go as planned. It was the most relaxing holiday ever though. We have only celebrated two of our Christmas with our families so far, and no idea when/if we will be doing the other two Christmas with our families. Covid hit our extended family before Christmas and our immediate family after Christmas. The kids got a longer Christmas break and have enjoyed it. (They never got sick, knock on wood)

Lets see take a quick look back at the last two weeks. (and yes it really is quick for me)

Merry Christmas

Holiday Home Tour 2021

Hey loves. It is December, the house is decorated for Christmas!!! Today I am opening my door and giving you a little holiday home tour. This is also a little more sneak peak into our new home.

If you were at my house in person I would offer you some water, coffee, hot tea, or hot chocolate. You would smell a holiday cranberry candle burning and listening to Penatonix holiday music on Alexa.

Reminder we have only lived in this house for a little over a month. We bought a few new things this year. We have made work with what we have. In the next few years I am sure we will buy a lot more and change everything up. All the wallpaper will eventually be removed and painted/updated to our own tastes. For now we are making due.

Kids Favorite Christmas Books

Hey loves. The 25 days of Christmas started yesterday. We do a cute advent Disney book calendar every day at dinner or bedtime. Years ago I bought a bunch of Christmas books and my kids unwrapped a new book every night. That became to much for us, but the Disney advent book works great. We have done it 3 years now and reuse the wrapping and everything. Now the Christmas books sit out all season and the kids read them all the time.
