Happy Birthday Brian
Sunday, December 8, 2024
Hey friends. I know I never do a Sunday post but today is Brian's birthday. We had a date night last night and plans today with friends and family. Sharing some photos of him from the past year. I feel like he gets the short end of the stick sometimes with 3 needy kids and him working to provide for our family.

Happy Friday!!!! It has been a great week. I am ready and excited for the weekend. It is filled with birthday festivities for Brian turning the BIG 3-0 and hopefully finishing our Christmas shopping!!!!! (our kids are finished. we just have to buy for everyone else) This morning we have already given Brian his gifts, which so happened to not be anything on his list, so he was very surprised but loved it all. We had a special pancake breakfast, that I was in charge of but I have now officially quit being a chef. Tonight we have dinner planned with another couple, and Sunday is the family party. Saturday will be out shopping day, wish us luck we will have Austin with us and he doesn't enjoy shopping at all.
Today I am linking up with Erika, Narci, and Andrea for Friday Favorites like always. Today is all dedicated to my favorite pictures of my birthday boy. Well favorite pictures from the past 2 years that are in my phone. (I really need to delete photos and get more organized)
Happy Birthday to my better half, an amazing boyfriend, the best father, and step father ever. Life would be so much different if you weren't in my life. But I wouldn't have it any other way. I love you forever and always.

Family, Fun and Fathers Day
Wednesday, June 21, 2017
The last 11 days have been crazy busy and went by like a blur. But there was lots of fun, love, get togethers, ice cream, and taxi written on my forehead. I am glad we are finally back to normalcy and have planned today as a rest day. However rest day doesn't happen very well with two wild kids.
We decided we wanted to check out a local farmers market. We also had no coffee at home so we had to stop somewhere. Ella decided she wanted a donut so off to Dunkin Donuts we went. It was a treat and I promise you it won't happen again anytime soon. All around was a bad experience with drinks being messed up, rude customer service, donuts dropped in the bag so when you picked it up there was no frosting on the donut it was all in the bag. Brian managed a Dunkin for 7 years, I worked there for 6, this is no way acceptable. (this was not a location who we know the franchisee)
Later on Saturday we had a huge birthday party for Brian's dad. He turned 85 and had all 7 of his kids fly in from all over the US. (Washington, Colorado, Kentucky, Maryland, and the other 3 are local)
They had baseball tees made with their names and the year they were born. It was a cute surprise.
Both kids did great while we were at the party. Austin willingly went to his uncle Anthony who he normally doesn't like.
The kids played in a blow-up pool, played yard games, and had fun.
I tried this for the first time. OMG is it good but can get you in trouble. It goes down way to smooth and tastes like a red, white and blue Popsicle.
Father's Day was another memorable morning. Again both kids wanted Brian.
For fathers day Ella helped me make a mousepad on SnapFish. We just had family pictures done a few weeks ago so it worked out perfect. Ella picked out the layout, pictures, words, and background.
I ordered Brian this grill pizza pan from Pampered Chef from an online party I added a few weeks ago. I can't wait to try it out this Friday for homemade family pizza night.
Brian got two dad shirts. He got this Super Dad shirt and a Mickey Mouse #1 dad shirt also.
Last thing he got was a Best Dad Ever mug that Ella picked out all by herself. She can be very cute at times.
After presents Ella's father picked her up. Then Brian, Austin and I went out to a late breakfast with his family that was still in town. For dinner we were at my parents house. We ended the night at Brian's parents house for dessert before I had to pick up Ella.
All in all in was such a fun, memorable, loving weekend. It was great seeing all of Brian's family which normally only happens once a year if not every other year.
Best Dad Ever
Thursday, February 2, 2017
Tuesday we got more snow overnight. The weather started to warm up and rain on and off so some started to melt. The bonus on that was it made the snow pack-able to build a snow man. Brian planned his day again to be able to take the kids outside and play. Ella got her wish of building a snowman. I can't say she really helped, atleast from what I saw. She was so happy about it and had to call and tell everyone.
Can you see the excitement in her eyes.
Austin originally wasn't going to go outside with them. He was going to stay inside and workout with me. He went up to the chair and looked out the window and kept yelling for his dad. He also put on my boots and tried going out the door and I told him no and he started crying. He got his way. I put his snow suit on him and let him outside to play. Can you see the excitement in his face. He just liked wobbling around the yard.
As Ella says "He's the Best Dad Ever" with her excitement of her snow slide. Brian surprised her and made her a snow slide to go down. I don't know if she was more excited about the snowman or the slide. Either way she was one very happy little girl.
Date Night
Saturday, October 8, 2016
Sometimes we all just need a night out, without the kids. Brian and I sometimes seem to be on opposite schedules that we need to schedule date nights. We hired a babysitter, my parents, to watch Austin for a few hours last night (Ella was with her father for the weekend) so we could have some adult time
Sometimes you just want to do your make-up, hair, put on a dress, and looks glamorous for a much needed date night
Brian surprised me by making reservations at a newer restaurant in the area Bonefish Grill.
I decided to try a Fall Apple martini as my drink, plus water. It was delicious and not to over powering. Brian just ordered an Octoberfest beer of some sort.
The restaurant had a fall special of dinner for 2 for $50. It included bang bang shrimp for an appetizer, two fall seasonal entrees, and dessert. We just couldn't pass up the deal. It was like getting an appetizer and dessert both for free.
The shrimp came out in a cute dish with chop sticks. It gave you the illusion that there was shrimp all the way to the bottom of the dish, but it was sitting on a bed of lettuce. There however was a lot of shrimp anyways and was so savory with just enough spicy without being to hot.
For my entree I got swordfish and pumpkin ravioli. It was my first time having swordfish and was very impressed. If you know me I am a huge pumpkin lover. I could have sat there and ate a whole place of just the amazing pumpkin ravioli, but I didn't I ate 3 and brought the other 3 home.
Brian got Bourbon grilled salmon. with green beans and garlic mash potatoes. He wasn't to impressed with his sides, nothing special about them. He did however enjoy her salmon very much.
Being how I am on my pumpkin kick I had to have the pumpkin crime brulee for dessert. It was good, but nothing to brag about. It seemed as if it had been sitting for a while due to the top not being hot.
We had a wonderful date night. We ended the night walking around Crocker Park and checking out the new stores and areas they have added since the last time we were there. After walking around we decided to get another drink at Bar Louie then headed to get Austin. It was a fun much needed date night.
Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day to all the dad's, step dads, dads to be, grandpas. uncles, and mothers who have to be both mom and dad. Hope everyone had a relaxing day.
How was your Fathers Day? What did you get your father?
Here's to the best father a girl can ask for. He is always there when I need him and when I don't. If I need someone to talk to, need advice, or just need a shoulder to cry on. He has always supported me in everything I do. He may not agree with all my decisions but will back me up on anything and everything. I couldn't ask for a better dad.
For fathers day my sister and I got him a picnic table for the backyard. We actually got it before Mother's Day and gave it to both my parents as a joint gift.
Happy Fathers Day to a dad to be and an amazing man who has chose to love and help take care of a child he didn't have to. Brian is going to be a great father. He is supportive, nervous, excited, and scared all while I am having a very eventful pregnancy. He's ready to have a son of his own, or atleast he thinks he is.
Brian has also stepped up with Aubriella. He loves her like she was his own, and helps support her even though he doesn't have to. He is patient, supportive, encouraging, caring, hard working, gives us strength and so much more. I love watching him bond and play with Ella every day. Aubriella wishes he was home every morning to play with him, she asks for him as soon as she wakes up. What more could I ask for in a wonderful boyfriend.
For Fathers Day I got Brian a BBQ tool set for the grill. He picked it out himself so he would like it and since we recently just got a grill it was much needed.
How was your Fathers Day? What did you get your father?
