November Intentions 2024

Hey friends. November is here, even though it doesn't feel like November. Last year it was snowing already, this year we have been wearing shorts and temps in the 80s yesterday. November seems to be the calm before the storm of all the fun activities for Christmas. That also means goals to get things done so I can enjoy the holidays even more.

October Intentions

Hey friends. Happy October. September was a busy month and October is already starting off crazier. I sat down on Monday and updated our calendars for the month. There is a lot going on between Ella having a part in the school play and having practice 2-3 days a week, Anna is doing soccer, its football season, Brian's work is picking up again (thank God) and lets not forget all things Halloween and fall themed.

Aldi Budget Friendly Grocery Haul with Meal Plan

Hey friends. It is back to school week. Things are a little hectic with all things back to school, prepping the house and yard to host Labor Day for about 40 people, and why not throw in a kid with a fever. (thankfully it was only like a 24 hour bug and she is back to normal). With a sicky I decided to do a quick Instacart order. Surprisingly I placed it at 7am and it was ready at 11. Sometimes it late afternoon especially on a Monday. Let's see what I got and our menu for the week.

Budget Friendly Aldi Grocery Haul and Meal Plan

Hey friends. I shared a new Aldi Budget Grocery Haul over on Youtube today. I am doing a weekly series sharing what we are buying each week along with this weeks meal plan. I use a kitchen inventory system to help us know what we have on hand which helps us save money each week.

Stock up Grocery Haul with Menu Plan

Hey friends. I finally got to go grocery shopping in person yesterday. Thankfully I was able to get most of what was on our list. It was a few random things they didn't have like pretzels and a few things I had to grab an alternative like eggs.

Incase you missed it, while I was in Florida on a business trip with Brian tornadoes struck havoc on our city and neighboring cities. So far they have determined there was 5 tornadoes touched down and a week later there are still a lot of people without power. We are very fortunate to never lose power for an extended period of time and we had no damage, just the top came off our chimney and a few large tree limbs came down. There are a lot of people who lost everything in their fridge and freezer and have damage. This is very unusual for Northern Ohio, but the national weather service has said that Ohio is the new tornado alley and be prepared for more.

August Intentions

Hey friends. July is over and August is officially here. It feels like summer with temps in the 90s. We have been jumping from either the air conditioning or the kids playing on their new waterslide. Even though school doesn't start for a few more weeks, we have already started our back to school prep. It will be here before you know it.

July Current Intentions

Hey friends. Can you believe we already half way through the year. How did that happen? I feel like this year is flying by and we spend way to much time sick already, compared to our family being healthy and not sick often. Fingers crossed the rest of this year to stay healthy.

It is in true summer feels with temps in the 80s, the air conditioning is on, and I don't want to cook. This month has already been crazy busy with holidays and now lets throw in two of my kids birthdays. I have been trying to write this post and record a video for the past week and a half but mom life happens with kids home, and Brian home I don't get as much done on my laptop and spend more time with them. Pros and Cons, I will take the time with my family any day.

Aldi Grocery Haul with Birthday Party Prep

Hey friends. How was your 4th of July holiday week? Ours was hectic schedules, family in town, birthday celebrations, Brian working from home a lot, and lots of fun. This week we are halfway getting back to more of a schedule, but also throwing in more birthdays. I didn't have a vehicle on Monday to do my normal weekly grocery haul. Instead I did an Instacart order on Tuesday to get what we needed for the week and some items for my kids birthday party on Saturday. I already know there will be more shopping in prep for the party.

Solo Parenting Grocery Haul and Meal Plan

Hey friends. This week I am solo parenting again. This is only the second time that Brian has had to go away for a week for work. I did a quick run into Aldi to grab groceries for the week. I dropped my middle off at summer reading camp, and my oldest woke up to watch my youngest. (oh to be a preteen and sleep until 11 would be great)
