Road Trip to the Farm Part 2

Hey loves. Time for part two, and the last part of our road trip to the farm. Brian's sister has a farm down in Kentucky that we go and visit at least once a year. It is about a 7 hour drive but we love going. (side note, it would take just as long if not longer to fly based on the closed airport and no direct flights)

Road Trip to the Farm Part 1

Hey loves. How is your week going so far? I have to admit this week is going better than the rest of summer. I grabbed my planner and I am getting organized, planning my day, and getting the things done. I even scrubbed the shower and bathtub yesterday, and I hate to admit they were gross and needed done.

This past weekend we went on a mini road trip to Brian's sisters farm down in Kentucky. We have visited her once a year for the past 4 years. My kids love the animals while Brian and I love the relaxation as well as seeing his sister. I am sharing part 1 of our trip, sorry for the picture overload.

Long Weekend at the Farm

Hey friends. Happy Tuesday. It is starting to feel like fall, but this past week was hot in the 90s where we were in Kentucky then coming home to the 60s is a big change. We had a great weekend at Brian's sisters farm. We got in Monday night than it was time for dinner, showers, and get ready for back to school. Sorry not sorry for all the pictures.

Vacation 2023 Day 1 and 2

Hey loves. A day late on this post. Sorry if you were looking for it yesterday. I came down with a stomach bug that had me down and out for the count for 36 hours. Brian was worried he would end up taking me to the ER for fluids. Thankfully I am feeling better and getting my energy back. I am also so grateful no one else in the house got what I had, we are possibly thinking it was food poisoning but not 100% sure. Now onto....

I starting to recap our fun 11 day vacation. We drove from Ohio to Florida and back. It was gorgeous, hot, and no rain (minus one day) what more could we have asked for, especially going to Florida in the summer where is usually always rains. We hit up two different beaches, a few Disney parks, Disney resorts and more.

Saving Money on a Road Trip

Hey loves. How is your summer going? We just recently got back from a road trip from Ohio to Florida. On the way there we had planned to drive (yes we are nuts and yes all 3 kids went with us) but ended up getting a hotel for 5 hours because we left earlier than originally planned and had some time to waste before we could get into our hotel. On the way home we made two stops in Tennessee.

Going on a road trip can get expensive, especially if you are prepared in advance and buying food along the way. Which we ended up doing and spent more money than we wanted and got fast food that made me feel blah. Sometimes we have to learn from our mistakes. Next year when we go cross country we will be more prepared.
