Hello December

This month is already flying by. I can't believe it is already the 7th. Tomorrow is Brian's 30th birthday, Christmas activities are in full swing, and snow is in the forecast again. I have also started making goals for the new year and coming up with some great exciting new things for my blog and some exciting things to share soon too.
November didn't go as planned. I didn't get back on track like I had hoped to. I wanted to get back on track: mentally, physically, organized, on a schedule, emotionally, and refocused. I don't know what happened that I lost my focus. I just really have been in a blah mood.
Lets recap November:

Ignore It-
Book Club
2 fun Books

Health:
Participate in a 5 day Sugar Detox
Workout at least 3x a week
Make Dentist appts for everyone

For the month of December I am taking a little break from my goals/to do list. There is so much I need to do with the holidays. I know having a list in my face (aka hanging on the fridge) will just overwhelm me and if I don't complete the list I will feel like I didn't do everything possible to make Christmas great. This is my way of taking a step back and re-evaluating my monthly to-do/goals. January is a new month, a new year, and I can start fresh, or try a new plan, or just kick it to the curb all together.
How do you stay organized and get everything done you need/want to?

November Goals

I can't believe it is already November. Holidays are in full swing, and the new year will be here before we realize it. So much fun stuff and great memories happened in October, it is becoming my favorite month of the year. Lets recap October:

Happy March. February was so wonderful to us, I hope March is the same. In Ohio we had gorgeous weather, a few record breaking days in the 70s, and lots of sun. Hopefully March treats us just the same if not better, and not drop 3 feet of snow on us.

New Month, New To Do

Hello and Happy February. I know I say this all the time. Where has the time gone? February 1st is officially here. Started my morning off right, got some reading done, a workout, and a hot uninterpreted shower. It was like heaven and no one work up. SCORE!!!! I'm sure you other mom's feel me on this.

January was a successful month. I got back into the swing of things. Got stuff organized, back on a schedule, and feel good about it. I see lots of green on my to do list for January. I got things checked off.
- I am on my final week of my new workout program, Country Heat. I can't wait to share my results.
- I also continued to drink my shake everyday.
- I started my family binder, when I say start I mean did 2 things, but it was a start.
- I am almost finished with reading 50 Shades Darker. I will have it finished by the time I go see the movie.
- I started reading the Compound Effect this week as my personal development book. I am loving it so far. I actually have read it before but this time I feel like it is really hitting home.
- Organize the basement - that didn't happen. It didn't even get touched. I probably actually made more of a mess down there.
- Take the kids somewhere fun. I know we did something but I can't remember what. Mom moment.
- Date nights were all a success. As a family we went to Red Robin, Brian and I went to his Lakewood Auxillary Police Awards Banquet, and Mother Daughter date we went to the library and to look at fish at the pet store. Aubriella was happy.

Since last month was so successful I made this months a little longer. With realistic to do.

- Read magazines that come in the mail. I found like 4 from the last 2 months that were just sitting. I want to read them when I get them then get rid of then. No more clutter.
- Hit 10,000 steps a day. This is part of my New Years Goals and I have been horribly slacking. No excuses this month.

- Family Date night
- Brian/I date night
- Mother/ daughter date
- Friends date (either with kids or without)

January To Do List

The month is already a 1/3 of the way over. I am just getting around to writing out my January to do list and seeing what I didn't complete off my December to do list. Last month I did hang my to do list in the kitchen to remind me of what I had to get done. It helped some, but I ended up taking it down before we have company over for Christmas Eve, then I lost it, forgot about it, and just found it today, well really searched high and low for it.
I did a lot better than I thought. Even though I didn't get everything done. The halloween stuff still hasn't been organized, honestly that probably won't happen until later in the year now. It is in the garage and it is freezing out there. Maybe if we have a nice few couple of warm days and I get a fancy up my butt to do it.
I also didn't get around to making a winter wreath. I had so many cute ideas for Christmas wreaths but not so much for a winter one. I will probably do something cute for Valentines Day.
My house got decorated for Christmas, WIN. I didn't put up everything with a professional undecorator. After Christmas, before New Years, half my tree was undecorated, and the garland around every door in the house was pretty trashed. Some decorations went up or got fixed on Christmas Eve and came down the day after Christmas. Plus I forgot to take pictures of everything. I am totally losing my mind.
Ella and I did a bunch of little crafts- made a snowman out of felt, a Christmas tree out of felt, snowflakes out of paper, and something else but I can't remember. (I know horrible mom of the year award). We also made about 5 different cookies, brownies, and cupcakes.
I have to admit I did finish the 10x rule and 50 Shakes of Grey, this week.
I had bad days of working out, I did however drink my shake everyday. I still haven't even touched the Happiness Project Book. I started reading it back in September when we were at Disney World and haven't touched it since.

Now onto January's Monthly To do List. I separated this months a little differently. I have health and fitness to do, dates, and other.
- I started doing Country Heat again yesterday with my new accountability group. I will complete the whole program this time with no hiccups. I also will submit my photos to get my free shit.
- Drink my Shakeology everyday, I did it everyday last year.
- Date night as a family
- Date night just Brian and I
- Mother Daughter date
- Start family binder. I really need some more organization in my life
- Read 50 Shades Dark. I want to see the next movie in the theater and it comes out Valentines Day weekend. I have to have the book finished by then
- Start reading a Personal Development book. I haven't decided which one
- Organize Basement office, again. Everything got thrown down there when we had company for Christmas Eve. I also want to start organizing the basement so the kids can play down there.
- Take the kids somewhere fun. It sucks when it is to cold out to not be able to do anything outside. I want to take the kids at least one place fun, where they can let some of their energy out.

December

OMG can you believe it. It is already Decemeber 1st. Where has the year gone, where the heck did November go, I swear it just started yesterday.
I always get so excited the beginning of each new month. A new month means new beginnings, new mindset, new focus, new start, new intentions, new results.... Its a time to sit down and refocus...

December is one of my favorite months of the year for so many reasons. The holiday cheer, the lights, the memories of the past, and making memories with my kids everyday, Brian's birthday is the 8th, seeing family, hopefully snow... I am all about making memories, continuing traditions, and starting new traditions. Now lets make this a December to Remember.

Last month I started back up making a monthly to do list to hopefully help me accomplish more of what I would like to get done. Lets see how I did in November:
- Take down and organize Halloween decorations I never organized them. I even bought the box, they are sitting in the garage and some upstairs
- Put up Thanksgiving decorations
- Make fall wreath
- Start putting up Xmas decorations (after Thanksgiving) I started today does that count?
- Put toys on layaway

- Make family binder I can't find my old one, I know its an excuse

- Do 4 crafts with Ella we did 2
- Make 5 new recipes, and post them
- Read The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin (actual book)
- Read a non-personal development book on my kindle Read Promise You Won't Tell by John Locke

I did about half of what I wanted to do. I am going to do better this month. I am also going to post my to do list so I can remember what I want to get done.

Now onto this months list:

November To Do List

It's already November 2nd' almost the end of the year. Where has the year gone? There is so many things I want and need to get done this month. I use to be famous for having to do lists all over, but for some reason I stopped making them. When I did make them I got more done, plus I remember what I wanted to get done and felt more accomplished. I am going to start back up with my to do lists.

Here's what I want to get done this month:
- Take down and organize Halloween decorations
- Put up Thanksgiving decorations
- Make fall wreath
- Start putting up Xmas decorations (after Thanksgiving)
- Put toys on layaway
- Make Xmas lists
- Set office up (again)
- Make family binder
- Organize kitchen
- Do 4 crafts with Ella
- Make 5 new recipes, and post them
- Read The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin (actual book)
- Read a non-personal development book on my kindle

Are you a to do list person? How do you stay organized?
