40 Lessons I learned before my 40th

Hey loves. Happy belated birthday to me. Yesterday was my 40th birthday. I celebrated it with my family and had a wonderful day.

Each year I usually share random facts about me. This year I decided to switch it up. I am sharing 40 lessons I learned before my 40th. Let's Jump In.

Happy Birthday to Me, 38 random things about me

Hey loves. Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Last few years I have shared 37 Thing About Me, 36 Oh my, and 35 random facts about me. Reading back through them I repeated a few things. I am going to try and not repeat anything.

36 oh my

Hey loves. Guess what today is??? My birthday. I am officially 36. I remember turning 25 and having a quarter life crisis that I was "old". The older I get I really don't feel old besides never being carded and the wrinkles around my eyes. Most days I still think I am 18 because I have never grown up. Soon my 9 year old is going to be taller than me and wearing my clothes.

I am sharing 36 facts about me. I have done this before on other birthdays- my 35th and lucky 33 and other random posts through the years. I skimmed the other posts to try and not repeat any random facts about me. Please forgive me if I shared any of these facts before.

Happy Birthday to Me!!! 35 Random Facts

Happy Birthday to me. I can't believe I am 35. It was the end of the world when I turned 25, but I am embracing 35 as the best year ever, even with our bad luck streak.

Not Just A Mom- Fun Facts

Happy Monday. Lets be honest here. Who realized it was already the second Monday of June. Not me. Normally I am on top of things. Last week was a rough week on so many levels. I haven't even started using my new planner yet. I am slacking. I need to get back into a schedule over here.

It's time for another Not Just A Mom link up with these awesome ladies and myself:

Our Dining Room Table Life

I'm sitting at my dining room table where all four of us will be sitting here in a few hours having breakfast as a family. I am thinking ahead to dinner tonight. My meal plan is already made up for the week, but sometimes you just aren't in the mood to make that meal or want something different. This happens more often than you would expect.

Tuesday Talk- Welcome

Happy Tuesday. There are a lot of new faces around here so I thought I would do a little introduction.

I am Adrienne! This is my little place on the internet.

Happy Birthday to Me Lucky 33

Happy Friday and Happy Birthday to me. Today is my 33rd birthday. Today I am doing 33 random facts about me.

1- Growing up I was obsessed with frogs. I still like them but not as obsessed as I use to be. I use to have collections in every room.

2- Now I am Disney obsessed. My favorite is Mickey and Minnie kissing. I love going to Disney World (even without my kids) and Disney movies.

3- I have known my best friend Heather since we were 4 years old. She moved down the street and came over to play on our slip and slide.

4- Chocolate makes everything better. My favorite is dark chocolate.

5- I use to think beer was gross and not worth wasting to try and drink. Now it is my alcholic beverage drink of choice. Depending on my mood I like chocolate stouts. With the summer weather I am liking fruitier light beers.

6- Every morning I have to make my bed (after everyone else gets out of it). I hate walking into my room and my bed being un-made. I feel like the whole house is a mess.

7- I have survived the last 3 years in our current house with no dish washer. (and I hate dishes) We have a portable dishwasher that sucks, you have to pre-wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher to be washed again. That's to much work and to much water. I would rather just do it once and get it over with. Our next house has to have a dishwasher or space for a permanent one.

8- I somewhat planned my own 25th surprise party. I mentioned to my sister I wanted a surprise party, and who she should invite. Her and my then husband planned all the rest of the details.

9- I can drive a stick shift if I had to.

10- I have a birth mark on the side of my neck that looks like a hickey. It has faded over the years but comes out in the sun.

11- My favorite games growing up were Battleship and Twister. Both of which we don't currently own.

12- Speaking of games I have a love/hate relationship with Monopoly. I hate losing so I use to cheat and play the banker. One year my sister bought me electronic Monopoly so I could no longer cheat, the box is still unopened and I haven't planed Monopoly since. (unless you count playing with Ella but making up our own rules.)

13- My favorite coffee is fresh ground Kona Blend made in a french press. (We make it every Sunday)

14- I use to want to be a teacher growing up. Now I look at teachers of how patient they are and could never do it. I give so much props to teachers.

15- Growing up I was never really into reading much, my sister was the bookworm. Now I love getting wrapped up in a good book.

16- My first real job was as a receptionist at a hair salon before I got my cosmetology license.

17- After getting my license I went to work at a different salon based on training requirements. I was still a minor and the previous salon wouldn't let a parent stay at the hotel with me.

18- I worked for said company on and off for 15 years, 4 different locations, assistant manager at one, stylist at others.

19- Between there I also was the night operations manager at a well known hotel chain. I worked there for a year and a half, manager for 9 months and I hated it.

20- I have no tattoos. I want one but can't decide what I want.

21- I had braces way to long. From the end of 8th grade, until the week before prom my senior year.

22- My first concert was Linkin Park. I saw them 6 times in concert.

23- I have only been pulled over once for running a stop sign (knock on wood)

24- I took French in school. I may not be able to speak it very well, but I can read it enough to get around parts of Canada.

25- I have a fear of spiders.

26- I don't drink pop, unless I am sharing with someone else.

27- I use to be a horrible cook. Practice makes perfect, I don't measure much and it turns out great now.

28- I don't touch a grill. I have dropped my fair share of burgers and steaks down the grate. I will leave it to the professionals.

29- I always had pets growing up until I moved in with Brian. He is allergic to cats and dogs. We do have fish.

30- I can hang with the boys when it comes to drag racing.

31- I know more about working on cars then most men.

32- My favorite Disney princess is Snow White.

33- I use to be awesome at playing Call of Duty. I haven't touched a video game in 7 years.

That was a lot harder than I anticipated. I hope you learned something new about me.

Have a great weekend.

Friday Favorites: 16 on the 16

Happy Friday. The weekend is finally here. We have dinner plans for my nieces birthday tonight, then I have no plans but relaxing, reading, watching some Hallmark movies, and possibly starting a Netflix series. (I pay for it each month I really should watch it)

Being that it is Friday it is time for some Friday Favorites with these three lovely ladies, ErikaNarci, and Andrea. I am switching it up a little this week and also doing 16 on the 16

Here are 16 fun favorites from the week and random facts about me:

~ ONE ~

I am working on being a morning person. I am so much more productive and less stressed when I get stuff done before anyone else, especially the kids wake up. But when Austin is in my bed and as soon as the alarm goes off he rolls over and starts hugging it is hard to get up. I cave to cuddles.

~ TWO ~

My least favorite chore is Dishes. I will let them sit there until the sink is over flowing. It would be different if we had a dishwasher.

~ THREE ~

This little girl loves her overnight oats. (so do I) We don't seem to make them very often though. It made for a less stressed morning.

~ FOUR ~

Favorite stores to shop are TJMaxx, Target, and Kohls

~ FIVE ~

I have always hated playing sports.

~ SIX ~

Austin's new favorite toy. He use to have one then broke a tire off so we threw it away. I love that when I ask him to take a picture he goes "cheese"

~ SEVEN ~

I grew up in the same house my parents still live in.

~ EIGHT ~

Growing up my plan was to be Engaged at 21, Married at 23, Kid at 25. I was engaged at 21, Married at 22, Kid at 26, Divorced at 26.

~ NINE ~

I am horrible at replying to a text, email, message... and forgetting to press send.

~ TEN ~

My head is still spinning from the Bachelor last week. I can't wait for the Bachelorette.

~ ELEVEN ~

I am excited for another Royal Wedding.

~ TWELVE ~

I use to be horrible on road trips. I would always end up sick. Now I am fine as long as I am in the front seat, preferably driving.

~ THIRTEEN ~

I use to hate coffee and would never touch it. Then I started working at Dunkin Donuts and had to be to work at 4 or 430 in the morning. I would do straight shots of espresso. Now I love black coffee.

~ FOURTEEN ~

I am a to do list maker. I love crossing out or highlighting things I got done.

~ FIFTEEN ~

My favorite Girl Scout cookie is a Peanut Butter Patty aka a Tagalong.

~ SIXTEEN ~

I dream of one day having nice china for everyone at our parties.

Hope you have a fabulous relaxing weekend.

Girl Chat- Introductions

Hey friends. Happy Thursday!! I am so excited to be joining in a brand new link-up Girl Chat with some great ladies. Emily, Danielle, Lindsay, Lizzie, and Sierra. Every third Thursday of the month they have a link up on a specific topic. (scroll down a little to see the topics)

This month's topic is Reintroductions. Thank you to all my new followers and for checking out my blog.

Let me properly introduce myself:

Hey. My name is Adrienne. I am a SAHM of two. My daughter, Aubriella (Ella) is 6, in Kindergarten, gymnastics, and a Daisy Girl Scouts. Austin is my 2 year old son who loves garbage trucks, Mickey Mouse, and Tigger & Pooh. Brian is my wonderful boyfriend of 5 years, is a Real Estate agent, Auxiliary Police Officer, and an amazing father and step father.

I have been blogging on and off since 2009. It started as a way to document my life as a wife, ttc, sharing tips, tricks, and recipes. After getting divorced, working crazy hours, and just feeling lost I stopped blogging. I started back up in 2012 when Aubriella turned 1 as way to document her life. My blog gradually grew into a mom lifestyle blog. I share recipes, tips, everything day life, love doing blog link-ups, family adventures, reviews, and more.

A little about me. I try to be very positive, can be overly sarcastic, family means the world to me, I am a people person, can be shy when meeting new people, but I'm not afraid to speak my mind. I have a Disney obsession, collect frogs, live off coffee most days, enjoy a glass of wine, love to cook and host parties, and enjoy reading. I enjoy traveling and hope to do more in the upcoming year(s). Chocolate is my weakness..

I am born, raised, and still living in Northern Ohio. I keep saying I am going to move to Disney World where it is warmer than here. I am tired of all our below zero wind chills. This won't happen until my kids graduate. (I'm counting down the years) We live close enough to our families, downtown Cleveland, the airport, and Lake Erie (even though we never go in the lake).

I am a former hairdresser, hotel operations manager, health and fitness coach, and Dunkin Donuts crew member (where Brian and I met). I loved all my previous jobs for different reasons but nothing compares to being home with my kids. Even on the days I want to scream and pull out my hair, I wouldn't change it to go to working for someone else. Kids are only young for so long. I missed a few milestones with Ella and don't want to miss it with Austin (and possibly another kids in the future). When I was working home life was rough, now I am home things are a lot better.

It is the third Tuesday of the month which can only mean Tuesday Talk with Ashley and Erika. Each month they do a fun little link-up where you are supposed to chat about anything and everything.
