Disney on Ice

Every year I hear and see the commericals for Disney on Ice and say we are going to take Aubriella to go see it. Every year it comes and goes and I never end up buying tickets. This year I decided we needed an outing. The weather was freezing, we couldn't do anything outside, and cabin fever was kicking in. This past Saturday morning we bought tickets to see Disney on Ice for Sunday afternoon. It was the best decision and so much fun.

This years Disney on Ice show was Dare to Dream with songs and numbers from 5 of the Disney Princesses. With special guest appearance from Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald. I would not recommend this years show to kids who aren't into princesses.

We had great seats, but I really feel like there isn't a bad seat at all. The performance is all over the ice so everyone can see.

Before someone says it NO we did not take Austin with us. (Memaw happily watched him) As his mother I knew he wouldn't sit for 2 hours to watch the show, he is only 2. I would have been a nervous wreck of him falling down all the stairs or kicking the person in front of us. Sometimes we need to do stuff just the 3 of us, especially when it deals with Princesses.

The show was 2 hours long, with a 20 minute intermission in the middle. During intermission Ella got to choose either cotton candy ($15), light up wand ($25-$35), or a snow cone cup with spoon ($12-$16) (prices may vary based on location). She choose the Cinderella snow cone cup with an Olaf spoon. It actually had a lot of snow cone in it and we didn't finish it all. I was happy with her choice since she can use the cup again at home.

The 5 movies featured were Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Frozen, and Moana. My favorite number was from Rapunzel. Without giving it away, I was just in awe of what these ice skaters could go while "hanging from hair". I also was impressed they had the Maximus, the horse on ice skates. I can't imagine being the person who was the back half of the horse and skating bent over and doing tricks. It was no surprise that Ella's favorite number was Frozen.

Overall it was really a cute, fun show to watch. Even Brian enjoyed it. It was worth the money we spent on our seats. Ella was happy and wants to see it again next year, and wants to go back to Disney World again this year.
