It has been a few months since I did a Bedside Book Review. I wish I could say I have been so blown away with reading that I just didn't have the time to write a review of what I had been reading. Unfortunately that's not the case. Here is my review for April, May, and June. (opps that was a lot longer that I thought)

Finished and Loved:

Random fact- I am a huge Gilmore Girls fan. Lauren goes into detail of her life and career and lots of facts and opinions about her time on Gilmore Girls. If you are fan it is a must read.

To say I needed to read this book would be an understatement. How often do we as Mom's try to be that mom, the pinterest mom, the do it all mom, the instagram mom, what we think it is the perfect mom... All of that is far from reality of what real life is like for any family. (if you think your life is perfect by any means you are probably lieing to yourself.) Rachael shares real life lies that we are told and stories of how they are far from the truth. She add hers own witt and personality and talks to you like you are her best friend.

I am a fan of Candace since back to the Full House days. Reshaping It All gives you a glimpse into her life as a childhood actor and as a mother. She shares tips, recipes and workout tips to help you motivate you to get on the right tract. It is nothing you have never heard before but she puts in reality of how to do it. Such as What do you hope to gain? weight loss, better health, more energy, a fitness routine?? Be specific, write it down, how much, when to reach your goals, etc ....

The Fate of the Marlowe Girl is a quick read about a sister, Tiffany who is forced to spend money she doesn't have on her sisters upcoming wedding which includes a bachelorette party in Cancun that goes wrong. Can Tiffany find her prince charming at the same time as being stuck in Cancun?

The Other Marlowe Girl by Beth Fred
(not currently available on Amazon)

Another quick read.

Finished and Ok:

I love this book how Gretchen has different challenges for herself every month to become the happiest she can be. She talked about all her challenges and changes she makes to become what she believes will truely make her happy. It motivated me to what to be my happiest also, but I haven't got that kick to actually do it. The way she does it seems like a lot of work and she takes a whole year to do.

This good I enjoyed the story line and loved the details but it really didn't pull me in. It is about a newlywed couple who have known each other for years that get married after Casey's first husband dies, who was also her new husbands best friend, Rob. When they think everything is going great they find out that Rob has a 15 year old daughter he never knew about. It really shows that marriage is hard but parenting is harder.

  1. You read a lot of memoirs! Not my favorite genre. I always wanted to read the happiness project though!
