Crockpot Roast with Sweet Potatoes

 Who doesn't love the comfort feeling you get after eating a roast. My mom always made it is the crock pot and I have followed in the tradition but switched up spices and veggies.

Crockpot Roast with Sweet Potatoes


  • 2-3 lb beef roast carrots
  • 1 small bag baby carrots
  • 4 medium sweet potatoes cubed
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 Tbsp basil
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Place roast in crock pot. Add all veggies, beef broth, wine, and seasoning.
  2. Cook on low for 7 hours. 
  3. Remove roast, shred if desired. Place back in juiced for 20 minutes.
  4. Serve.
  5. Enjoy.
