Reading is a vital part of kids development at every age. In our house we are always reading from quiet time, to "I'm bored", for fun, to bedtime, and more. As a family we read the first book in the Explorer Academy Series, The Nebula Secret Book. The Explorer Academy series is a fact-based fiction series inspired by the real-life adventures of real National Geographic explorers. The first book in the series follows Cruz Coronado on an adventure. He is a 12 year old student at the fictional Explorer Academy, an exclusive school that teaches the next generation of explorers. Along with his studies Cruz must try to crack a family mystery with the help of his friends and classmates from around the world.
My kids loved the adventure and mystery in the book. Audrianna (20 months) even got into look at the pictures. The books are meant for ages 8 plus to read themselves. (grades 3-7)
As a parent I loved that each book integrates STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), geography, and other subjects into each action packed storyline. Every day my kids would ask is it time to read more of the Nebula Secret? I cant' wait to read the rest of the series with my kids.
