We are home from a wonderful 11 day vacation. It it a quick jump back to reality and the start of school. We just got home yesterday afternoon and Ella started school this morning. Austin thankfully doesn't start until Wednesday. I thankfully because I know he needs a little more time to get use a new routine. (Yes I know this vacation wasn't planned well, the last few years school started after Labor Day this year this switched it up and we didn't know until after our vacation was booked and we couldn't change it)
(insert me crying here)
I love summer. It had been a crazy summer with lots of fun, sadness from a death in the family, strep throat, camping, lots of swimming, sleepovers, play dates, and so much more. I am ready for all things FALL, bring on all things pumpkin.
I am most excited for new routines, structure, and new adventures. It is bittersweet that our schools are back in person again. The kids NEED to learn in person and have interaction with their friends.
Happy First Day of School. Good luck to all the students, teachers, and staff. And all the mama's too.
Short and sweet today. I have piles of laundry to do, and to regroup.
