~ WHAT I AM REMINISCING ABOUT ~
The last vacation Brian and I went on without kids was in 2018. We have another one planned kind of, Brian has a work trip and I am tagging along.
How is my little princess 5 already. She starts kindergarten. Austin is now 9 and and Ella is 12.
~ WHAT I AM LOVING ~
All the kids (we have 3 households with 8 kids between us) share two gardens. The kids love to go in the garden and pick veggies and berries and eat them. My kids will eat out of the garden but won't eat the same veggies from the store.
~ WHAT WE HAVE BEEN UP TO ~
Lots of time with friends. We spend the 4th of July at the parade with friends followed by a cookout.
Brian rented a excavator to move rocks and work on our backyard renovation.
We celebrated Anna turning 5.
Austin got permission to play baseball after breaking his arm and had nerve damage. He played in a few games and his team made it to the 3rd round of play offs.
We celebrated Austin turning 9.
Anna and Austin got the big waterslide as a birthday gift. It worked out perfect for their joint birthday party that was water themed.
We have been doing lots of Legos that the kids got for their birthdays.
Church on Sunday mornings followed by donuts and checking out the building of the pavilion progress
The kids and I have been going on adventures: nature center, hiking, playgrounds, back to school shopping...
the zoo
and B A Sweetie candy store.
Weekly visits to Cedar Point.
~ WHAT I AM DREADING ~
My kids going back to school in a few weeks. We have been having a good summer. Anna will also be in kindergarten all day.
~ WHAT I AM WORKING ON ~
New Etsy items, more Youtube videos, and prepping for back to school.
~ WHAT I AM EXCITED ABOUT ~
~ WHAT I AM EXCITED ABOUT ~
Getting away and spending time with just Brian. with 3 kids we never get time to ourselves, let alone have a conversation without someone butting in.
~ WHAT I AM WATCHING ~
I haven't watched the Bachelor franchise in a few years. I saw the new season of the Bachelorette pop up on Disney plus and I started watching. I probably won't finish it because I went on Realty Steve to see who won and I don't like who she picked.
~ WHAT I AM READING ~
Island Affair by Priscilla Oliveras
~ WHAT I AM LISTENING TO ~
The Paris Novel by Ruth Reichl
~ WHAT I AM WEARING ~
~ FAVORITE AMAZON PURCHASE THIS MONTH ~
Reusable make-up remover pads- I have used for make-up remover and applying toner. I use one per use then throw them in the bag to wash with towels each week.
~ WHAT WE ARE DOING THIS WEEKEND ~
I honestly have no idea what we are doing this weekend. Possibly Cedar Point depending on weather. Maybe a playground and donuts. We will just have to wait and see.
~ WHAT I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH ~
Enjoying the last month before school starts.

I used to join my husband on work trips too just to get a little time away without the kids (though we did bring the kids a time or two also depending on where he was going and how long he was going to be gone for). I hope you have a wonderful time just the two of you. It sounds like you all have been having a wonderful summer. I know you said you're dreading heading back to school but are you at least a little excited about having more time home alone?
