Hey friends. It is sad that August and summer is coming to an end. Tomorrow my kids start school, we are hosting a labor day cookout which really feels like an end of summer party. August really flew by with a few days in Orlando, a tornado, and more. Like always even with all the craziness I want to remember what brought me joy.
Memories
We spent a Saturday afternoon together as a family. We grabbed a few subs from Dave's Cosmic subs, went to the park, had a picnic lunch then the kids ran around and played at the playground. I am craving another sub it was so good and the kids all ate it too.
Brian had a business trip to Orlando that I tagged along for a few days. I have been recapping it here.
It has been a very weird August with temps from the upper 40s in the morning to 90s. We had a cool week with cooler temps perfect for a fire outside. I grabbed my kindle and relaxed while the kids played.
We also celebrated National Smores Day.
Who doesn't love smores.
Anna is now in her big bow era. Ella gave her all her bows from when Ella was Anna's age.
We have spent a lot of time outside mostly on the trampoline and riding bikes. I even got the kids to wash the trampoline, some toys and chairs.
The girls had a lemonade stand. They lasted a little over an hour but made like $20.
The plan was to go to Cedar Point 3x this month, we only made it once.
My own little Taylor Swift. she grabbed a microphone stand, microphone, and broom to perform just like the concert.
Games and Fun
Anna is back on a chalk kick.
Our neighbors put up their bounce house for the first time since April when Austin broke his arm. For the most part the kids were a lot of tame on it, minus the youngest 3rd old. Austin was a lot of cautious.
