 Sausage and Potato Soup


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground sausage, Italian 
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 10 baby carrots, diced
  • 2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Frank's hot sauce
  • 5 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 6 red potatoes diced
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • salt/pepper

Directions:
  1. In a large stock pot, brown the sausage breaking into small pieces as it cooks. 
  2. Add onion, celery, carrots and garlic to pot. Saute for 5 minutes.
  3. Add flour and cook for one minute.
  4. Add soy sauce and hot sauce while stirring.
  5. Slowly add in chicken brother while scrapping bottom of pot.
  6. Add heavy cream and seasonings.
  7. Bring to a boil. Add in diced potatoes. Simmer until potatoes are soft, about 20 minutes.
  8. Serve
