Summer Break Week 4

Hey loves. Summer is in full swing. It's time for a summer break week 4 recap.

Monday June 30

The day before was my birthday. We had company over until almost 11pm. Made for a late night. I set my alarm for 6am. I turned it off when it went off and mentally said I would get up in 5 minutes. An hour and a half later I woke up. Opps. Made for somewhat a rushed morning getting ready to go to work. No time to workout. I made breakfast for Brian and myself, got all our vitamins, made Austin breakfast and finished getting myself ready. I woke Ella up when I was ready to leave and let her know that Anna was still sleeping.

By the time I got downstairs again Anna was awake and hungry. I made her breakfast quickly

and got her and Austin situated to watch the Minecraft movie. They were glued to watching it before I even walked out the door.

I arrived at work a few minutes late. Thankfully as long as my work gets done and I am on time for my meetings they don't care . (I also can work from home too). I got home around 1130 then made the kids some leftover pizza for lunch. I did some admin work for the real estate company, and started prepping a menu for the month of July, and some blog work.

When I was in the fridge getting the leftover pizza I saw a container of heavy whipping cream that reminded me I needed to make butter. I set it on the counter to warm up some then grabbed the KitchenAid mixer and made butter.

Ella is going to the Renaissance fair with her grandma on her dad's side this weekend. She designed and made her costume. (yes some what bought but she made the wings, the horns she made on a 3d printer, the skirts she combined and layered, etc). She is a dragon or something she tried explaining it to me but I'm lost. She is happy with it and that is all that matters.

At 130 I made my way downstairs to workout. I am not a fan of afternoon workouts, but I wanted to get it done. I feel better when I workout and I had mentally planned to get up and workout, then fell back asleep .I had the cutest little workout partner and cheerleader.

We had a low key afternoon with probably too much electronics. It was storming on and off that you didn't know what the weather was gonna stick it.

For dinner we had leftovers from my birthday cookout.

Surprisingly the field Anna had t-ball at was not rained out. There was one puddle where the t mount goes, so they moved the t up a few feet. It was her last game of the season. (then they added two more games)

We ended the night with some ice cream at home.

Tuesday July 1

I set my alarm for 6am again, and guess what I didn't get out of bed again until 7. Brian was already dressed and about to head out the door. He had to go put a key box on a house that was going on the market that day. While he was gone I started monthly chores (deep cleaned dishwasher, all the bedsheets, and deep clean coffee pot after I made coffee). I tracked him using Life 360 app and had breakfast and coffee ready for him when he got home. I made sausage egg tacos. After breakfast he headed to work at the church before the rain started.

By the time I was finished eating breakfast and getting ready for work Anna and Austin woke up. I grabbed them breakfast and got them situated on their tablets, and the Xbox. They were fighting over who was playing what by the time I left. I made sure Ella was awake incase they needed anything. (they also can call me using Alexa, I have my phone on me at all times and I work 5 minutes from the house)

I came home for lunch and made a taco salad bowl. The kids ended up having chicken nuggets. Around 2 I finally got them dressed and ready to leave the house. They were not motivated and just whiny. I also squeezed in a 30 minute workout.

First stop was 5 Below. I was looking for drawing sketch pads, colored pencils, and pencil sharpeners to pack for our upcoming road trip and Disney vacation. They didn't have what I wanted. (I have bought them there before but it was around Christmas over a year ago). Also when did 5 Below become everything over $5. From the stuffed animals, to balls, to other random stuff, nothing seemed to be below or even at $5 anymore.

Next stop was the bank. I needed to cash a check and want the physical money instead of putting it in my back account. Bad idea doing it on the first of the month. They were busy I ended up waiting over 20 minutes. Thankfully I left the kids in the car watching a movie. (with the car locked and Ella was in the car too, and I could see the car from inside the bank)

Last stop was to pick up Ella's friend for a sleepover.

I ended up taking a little nap on the couch. It started off as cuddles with Anna and reading, it turned into I had heavy eyelids and a headache.

I made a dinner. I had shrimp tacos. Ella and her friend had pizza. Anna and Austin had a quesadilla. Welcome to mom life and making multiple dinners. Brian was showing a house or I would have made him dinner too.

After dinner Anna had her second gymnastics class. I sat in the car in the parking lot again and read while she was in class. (there is no where to go inside and watch). Anna had so much fun and talked my ear off the whole way home telling me everything she did.

When we got home I sat outside and was talking with Brian while he and Austin played catch. I wanted to go for a walk, but was getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. Instead I went inside and put all the bed back together after washing the sheets all day.

I pulled back out my walking pad and got my steps for the day done. Then got ready for bed.

Wednesday July 2

Another lazy start to the day. I didn't get up until 730, one day I will get back into an earlier schedule. I got up and got dressed. Brian was already eating breakfast. I grabbed my coffee and sat outside, scrolled n my phone, and listened to the birds. I eventually made myself breakfast and started cleaning up around the house.

Ella and her friend decided to go for a walk to a local bakery that Ella has had a gift card to for over a year. They came home with drinks and all this yummy goodness.

Then all the kids went outside to play. All 4 kids on the trampoline. (it isn't often that Ella leaves her bedroom and plays with her siblings, welcome to teenager life)

They got hot from jumping on the trampoline so 3 of them decided to go swimming and one decided to play in the creek.

We drove Ella's friend home, then Ella got picked up by her dad. I made dinner for Anna and myself. Brian and Austin went to baseball practice and a pizza party.

I am not a big fan of evening workouts but I kept procrastinating but finally got it done. It was a body weight Fit Wars and OMG it kicked my butt.

I ended the night getting my steps in.

Thursday July 3

I had to work in the morning at the church and get everything ready for service on Sunday and a birthday party pot luck.

I worked for a few hours at church then came home and worked on my blog, real estate marketing, and more church work from home sitting on the patio.

There was a cute inch worm that I found and Ella played with it.

My poor princess got a mosquito bite on her forehead and swelled a bunch.

We went out to dinner at a local brewery that was having kids night.

Anna is the only one that wanted her face painted of my kids and she picked a Minnie Mouse bow with glitter.
The kids enjoyed the food and Brian and I enjoyed the beer. Brian got a pork rice bowl that was to spicy, and he likes spice. It also wasn't labeled at hot/spicy.
After dinner we went to Costco. Yes I am nuts taking 3 kids to Costco the day before a holiday. I have to admit it was not as crazy as I expected.

Ella wanted to make a dessert and we had all the ingredients for brownies. She took it upon herself to make it into a flag.

Cuddles on the floor. My back was a little tender so I decided to lay on the ground and stretch it out. Anna is like a pet who things your on the ground to play with them, in her case I am on the ground for cuddles.

As per tradition we watched on Youtube the Disney World Magic Kingdom fireworks show that they do on July 3.

Friday- July 4

Happy 4th of July!!!!!

We had a crazy running around fun day. First stop our local parade. (ignore that Ella is wearing pants and long sleeves in July when the temps are in the upper 80s, again welcome to being a teenager. At least she is wearing red while and blue)

Anna and I have the same hair style, hers is just sprayed red and blue (a week later her scalp is still red)

The new firetruck

After the parade we went to our neighbors for lunch, drinks, slip and slide, mini pools, and water balloons.

Even the dads got into the water balloons.

Quick stop at home to get ready to head to my parents.

She needed a power nap.

We had a delicious dinner at my parents house of ribs with all the fixings. The kids played together nicely and enjoyed spending time with my parents.

Next stop was another mom friend from the PTA who was hosting a cookout. We just went to hang out for a little while and the kids played.

Plans changed from going to see fire works to a more chill night with some little fireworks, sparklers, poppers, and playing with friends.

And it was the perfect night to catch lady bugs.

After a long day we were home by 1030. I then left to take Ella to her other Grandmas and we saw more fireworks on the way. When I got home the neighbors were setting off the big ones in the park behind our house. I had my own private viewing that I could watch while laying in bed.

Saturday July 5

After a late night we all slept in. I made a double batch of banana protein waffles to eat and put all the extra in the freezer for quick breakfast. Austin ended up eating 5 throughout the morning, just grabbing them off the tray without any toppings.

We spent a low key day at home. Brian worked on putting the liner in the pond, the kids played in the pool and on the waterslide.

I also baked two loaves of bread for our church pot luck.

It was a very low key, laid back, nothing special Saturday, which was also much needed.

Sunday July 6

Up early and got a workout done. Took a shower, gave Anna and shower and got ready for church.

After the church service was a pot luck birthday celebration for everyone and a balloon cartoonist for the kids. The balloon artist had a 4 page menu with all his designs. Austin picked Minecraft.

Anna picked Ariel. In the two hours the balloon artist was there, he did less than 20 balloons because each  balloon took so long.

After church we ran to the store to grab dinner and a few odds and ends, got gas, and went home to relax for a little bit. Brian went back to the church to help clean up.

We spent the afternoon out back with the kids playing on the waterslide and in the pool with our neighbors. They had been out of town all week and came home and saw the waterslide out and were so excited to play with their friends.
