Hey loves. Summer is flying by. We have about a month left before we go back to school.
Monday July 14
Home from the farm and up early, being present and taking the time for me. Trying to get back into a morning routine.
Moving my body. I picked a yoga workout to stretch out my stiff muscles from being in the car the day before, sleeping in other beds, water park, etc.
I had to work for a few hours and Ella stayed home and entertained her siblings.
These dang squirrels. The bird feeder is squirrel resistant. If you put pressure on the bar where the birds sit it closes the food holes. This squirrel has figured out how to hang from the top and get food.

After dinner Anna had a virtual appointment with a Dr to discuss her tick bite that we found over the weekend. She is allergic to the medicine they give you if you have a bite, the alternative medicine is not recommended for kids under the age of 7, has a lot of negative potential side effects, no where locally caries it and would have to be pre-authorized for insurance. By the time they determined all this we had 12 hours to get the meds into her or just evaluate her for 30 days. After discussing with a specialist, Lyme disease is not popular in our area, chances insurance would approve would be love... we know the tick was from a deer, so we opted to just keep an eye on her. I check her head numerous times a day for the rash. If she is to get the rash then we call the dr and push for the medicine. (if we weren't going on vacation we could potentially give her the medicine she is allergic to and just deal with the allergic reaction but she would also miss school for that)
After the virtual visit and phone calls with the doctors I ended up across the street where Brian and Austin already were. My neighbors had a delicious margarita waiting for me. Ella came looking for me to see what the doctors said. She is holding Benny, the dog that doesn't like her. He was put in her lab, then he walked across the table and put his food in salsa to get away from her. (Salsa got thrown away)Tuesday July 15
I slept in then felt rushed and was a few minutes late to work. Not the way I had planned on starting my Tuesday.
I placed an instacart order that morning to pick up after work. All the fruits and veggies.
Cleaning my fresh fruits and veggies, and no the bubbles don't leave a soap taste
I gave Anna and shower and braided her hair. She was watching Mr. Beast with Austin on YouTube in the living room (they only get YouTube on the big TV supervised). The next thing I know my princess is napping.
Brian grilled up salmon patties that we got from Sam's Club. It has been a favorite quick dinner over a salad this summer.
Remember the squirrel that was eating out of the bird feeder, now the deers have figured out their tongues fit in the holes and they can eat the bird food.
Happy 10th Birthday Austin.
It is hard to see but there is a rabbit in the yard. We never have rabbits.
Anna had gymnastics and a snuck a peak through the glass and she was right there. I am not a fan of her gymnastics place.
After gymnastics we picked up Austin and Brian got ice cream for Austin's birthday. They picked milkshakes. They were so thick they kids may have drank an inch of it.
We watched trains
and airplanes too before heading home. Wednesday July 16
The one day this week I didn't want to wake up at 6am, and I wasn't feeling the greatest so I set my alarm for 7. My body had other plans and I was up before 6. Instead of fighting trying to rest I went downstairs and started watching TV. I can't tell you the last time I watched TV for myself was... It was before the kids were home on summer break. I started watching "The Summer I Turned Pretty".
After breakfast Anna and Austin built one of their Lego sets they got for their birthday.
A little excitement for the morning, Brian got mulch delivered for the flower beds. Now the kids want a dump truck added to Brian's GMC Sierra.
Ella and I did some running around. We stopped at Michaels and she was so excited to see Halloween decorations but not pink decorations.
Austin had his last baseball game of the season. It was the last game of the playoffs. If they won they went to the championship game, if they lost there was a chance. The weather sucked, they were playing in thunder and lightning, (yes I was not thrilled) it kept downpouring and they kept playing. Everytime it downpoured they were on the field and missed balls, dropped balls, etc. The game did not go in their favor and they lost. It was a very devastating loss for a lot of the boys. Austin was a trooper in supporting his team.
After baseball we tried Austin's ICEE machine he got for his birthday. They loved it, I thought it was low. I used way less syrup then they recommended and it was still very sweet. Thursday July 17
It was a busy day. I worked for a few hours, then had my yearly annual exam, then had to go back to work. This is your gentle reminder to schedule your annual girly exams. Get the pap done. Schedule a mammogram (mine is scheduled for September)
The rest of the day I slept cleaning the house and hanging out with my kids.
Friday July 18
I woke up late. The morning didn't go as planned and I was running late to pick up Ella. Her dad was going out of town so I didn't want to make him any later leaving.
Brian made me a bagel with cream and my coffee with collagen for the road.
Surprisingly Ella played outside with her siblings. They made a few different obstacle courses in the front yard and played on the trampoline. Saturday July 19
When I woke up I checked on these two having a sleepover in Anna's bed. Austin had lost all his pillows and was using a small little pillow.
Not even 5 minutes later Brian checked on them and they were both cuddling.
I spent the morning finishing cleaning and doing a little decorating.
Anna and I got a quick workout done.
And enjoyed the party with a teenager face. You can read about their non-pinterest, simple Birthday party.
Sunday July 20
Brian had to open church so it was a morning of just the kids and myself. I made myself some protein eggs and enjoyed them outside. The kids slowly woke up and we all got ready for church.
Before church they played a little tic tac toe on the drawing pad.
Up front for the children's message, then they went to play and learn at the picnic tables by the pavilion.
Ella went on a little vacation with my parents, sister and niece. They stopped and fed the fish.
I was falling asleep on the couch and the neighbors invited the kids to ride bikes. That turned into an evening outside. The kids played, we had dinner, and had a nice night. Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO
