Disney World Vacation 2025 Day 2

Hey loves. I am recapping our Disney World vacation that we took the end of July into the beginning of August. We spent a wonderful week down in Orlando, Florida at Disney World. This trip was extra special because it was my 40th birthday trip and we went with another family. Be sure to read day 1, our travel day and deluxe magic hours, if you missed it.

Let's start the recap. The plan is to go day by day, but some days maybe broken into two parts depending on how long they are. We had a busy 8 days with 6 days of parks with park hoping, resort hopping, and more.

Thursday July 31, 2025

We had a slow start to our morning. We all slept in and then the dads made a big breakfast of pancakes, sausage and eggs. I am use to grab and go breakfast while we are Disney. Our friends kids enough a full breakfast every morning so my kids enjoyed it as well.

While getting ready I got an e-mail that my kindle that I had forgot on the first flight from Cleveland to Atlanta has been located. I had the option to have it shipped home to pick it up somewhere ( I didn't even look at pick up options). I opted to pay to have it shipped home. We are lucky to have family and friends that live close by who could swing by and grab a package off my porch.

The plan for the day was Epcot. We got there and through security by 10am.

First ride of the way was Soarin. The girls were tall enough so we didn't need to use rider swap and there was only a 15 minute wait. Normally Living The Land would be our next stop, you either love or hate the ride, but unfortunately the ride was down pretty much the whole time we were at Epcot. Off to our next ride- Nemo.

The Nemo ride is cute and relaxing but really could use updating. The best part is the aquarium. We could spend hours there looking at fish. and

the scuba diver and turtles. There are also sharks, stingrays and more too.

It was already going on 1130 and the kids were getting hungry. We went to Connections Eatery to get the kids lunch. They got pizza and chicken nuggets. They were $8.49 each and a decent size serving.

While the kids finished lunch I ran and grabbed a popcorn bucket. The basic bucket is $15 Refills for your whole trip are only $2.25, this is the cheapest snack option and keeps the kids content.

We rode the Three Cabaranos in Mexico then got some Margaritas. I picked a frozen strawberry flavored one.
We got in line next to ride the Frozen ride. It said a 30 minute wait as we were walking up, then it jumped to 40 and the line wasn't moving and kids were getting antsy so we switched up our plans.

Meeting Anna and Elsa. Anna is one of my favorite characters to meet. She is great with all the kids, plays games, talks about Olaf and Sven.

Elsa is always a favorite too, just not as fun.

Our trick for the kids to not to buy everything in the first day, then have no money or be disappointed they want to change their mind. We take pictures of what they want and let them decide later in the trip. Austin say this little Porg from Star Wars shoulder pet that he wanted so we took a picture.

The kids were getting tired and it was hot so we grabbed some empanadas to snack on while we walked back to the buses to go to the hotel. At the hotel we took a little nap before heading back to the parks.

I do NOT recommend this next park. Brian thought it would be a good idea to take the boat from our hotel to Disney Springs to catch a bus to a different hotel then take the monorail to Epcot, most of the transportation all at once. It did not go as planned. It took so long, we waited forever for the boat to come, then had to go through security at Disney Springs, walk half to through the shopping center (a good 15 minute walk) to get to the buses. We ended up taking a bus to Disney Beach Club resort then walked in the back entrance of Epcot. The kids were completely over it.
Here is where the big meltdown started. Said child was hungry, tired, hot, and bored. The back entrance to Epcot is by the countries and doesn't have the most friendly kid food. Then it started pouring. We forgot ponchos for our family, our friends kids didn't want to wear the ponchos or sit in the stroller. It was mentally exhausting.

But when it rains there is always a rainbow (at least on this trip). By the time it stopped raining it was 730 and the park closed at 9. We separated from our friends, found ourselves food and explored the countries while doing some window shopping.

The kids shared a Nutella crepe which was huge and delicious, we got sushi, and chicken nuggets.

While waiting for the fireworks we did some shopping. Anna picked out an Elsa necklace set (she has been wearing it a lot at home and it hasn't broken yet).

Time for the fireworks, the new Magic bands + light up and vibrate during the fireworks, parades and on certain rides.

We have the perfect view at a distance of the fireworks. I will miss the days when Anna is to big to go on Brian's shoulders.

After fireworks we headed to the bus to go back to the hotel. Brian and I took our kids swimming, while the other family went to bed.

Florida weather at 935pm it still felt like 96 degrees outside.

That was day 2 more fun to come.
