Disney World Vacation 2025 Day 3

Hey loves. I am recapping our Disney World vacation that we took the end of July into the beginning of August. We spent a wonderful week down in Orlando, Florida at Disney World. This trip was extra special because it was my 40th birthday trip and we went with another family. Be sure to read Day 1 and Day 2, our travel day and deluxe magic hours, if you missed it.

Let's start the recap. The plan is to go day by day, but some days maybe broken into two parts depending on how long they are. We had a busy 8 days with 6 days of parks with park hoping, resort hopping, and more.

Friday August 1, 2025

Up and ready to hit the parks. It was a matching shirt day. I had made all 9 of us matching Disney 2025 tank tops.
We were at the bus stop before 830 to go to...

Magic Kingdom. We were to the park and through security walked on main street in less than a half an hour. We got there right at the official time the park open (9am).

I spotted a photo pass photographer, while we were all in good moods before the melt downs, or messes on our shirts we got some pictures with the castle in the background. A group shot

And a family photo too.

First ride of the day we did rider swap for Space Mountain, the girls are not tall enough. While the boys and Ella were on Space Mountain, the moms and the little girls rode the People Mover and got popcorn. Then we swapped and the moms got to ride Space Mountain.
*My back was already tender from riding Dinosaur the night before and traveling. Space Mountain was not the best idea. It was a lot rougher than I remember.

The wait for Buzz was only 20 minutes and it was was closing for refurbishment in a few days so we sure wanted to get it done.

Time for a morning snack. Ella wanted to try a Churro. It came with chocolate dipping sauce. It was delicious she even saved some for later.

With some arguments from the dads we all rode the teacups.

Brian hates the teacups but will do them in the morning before it gets too hot. Even though it already felt like 102 at before 11 am. (Brian had no problem with tilt a whorl or ladybugs at other amusement parks)

Dumbo was up next. Before we got on the ride we let the kids play in the indoor air conditioned play place for a good 20 minutes. It is a nice little cool down.

Next snack of Cotton Candy.

Everyone but the other mom got in line for Barnstormer. It said a 20 minute wait, we ended up waiting close to an hour for a very short ride. People kept coming with lightning lane passes.
While we were on the ride the other mom went and grabbed a frozen Apple Juice and huge cinnamon roll for Gaston's Tavern that we all shared. We did some window shopping in the air conditioned stores before we went

Under the Sea.

It was then time for our afternoon break. We headed back to the hotel, made lunches, the kids went swimming for a little bit, then we all rested and some napped before heading to a different park.

While waiting for the bus Ella found a painted rock.

Next park was Hollywood Studios. We got there grabbed ice cream for the kids and Long Island drinks for the parents.

First up-  Star Wars area. We rode Star Tours and Galaxy Edge. I love this picture with all the faces.

The kids got dinner then we headed to Toy Storyland.

Fun on Alien Saucers

and ending our night at Toy Story Mania. It was hot, the kids were tired and they had no desire for any nighttime shows. (I love Fantasmic but having to get there so far in advance from the start of the show, no food or drinks or strollers, etc makes it hard with kids)

Back at the hotel the kids watched some TV then passed out.
