I already shared Cruise and California vacation by Numbers, and Cruise and California Vacation Day 1.
Changing time zones was a struggle. The kids were moody and tired the night before and up so early the next day. Brian and the kids were up before 530. Brian ended up going to a walk around Long Beach by himself then again with Ella before 7am.
When they got back we walked down to Paris Baguette for breakfast. Then headed back to the hotel to finish packing up and getting ready to head to the cruise terminal.
While Brian was on his walk you could see our cruise ship, but it was docked on the other side and we had to drive around.
Brian also grabbed this princess two flowers to wear in her hair.
We arrived at the port at 915, checked in, waited to embark. We were "walking the plank" at 11am.
First up was our muster station. Norwegian you just have to check in at the muster station and state you watched the muster video previously. (The video was available to watch after you do the online check in)
Next we headed to the kids club to do a tour and sign our kids up to attend. Our cruise was not sold out and did not have a lot of kids so it was never an issue to get our kids.
Next up the kids needed food. We found a seat at the American diner that had just opened. We were not impressed with it. The food was ehh and they didn't have chicken fingers for the kids. (this will end up being an issue the whole trip) It was cutely themed though.
We decided to wander around the ship and get our bearings and decided to go to the pool. We started to head to find the bathrooms to change and found out our rooms were ready. We headed to our rooms to quickly drop off our bags that we had carried on and get ready to go swimming.
I had to say we were not impressed with the pools. The one pool the kids were allowed in was over 5 feet deep. I can't touch them let alone hold my child at the same time. (yes we should have researched this better). The kids area with water shooters, buckets, and slides were fun for short periods of time.
While swimming it was sale away time. Their is a dance party and dj at the main pool. We ended up moving up top to the hot tubs.
Goodbye Long Beach California.
While Anna was dancing away to the music, Austin took a little power nap.
I swear this girl only smiles on vacation.
We had a perfect view for the sunset at 5:39pm.
We had dinner reservation at 630. Before we headed up to dinner our luggage was in the hallway and we took it back to our room and did some unpacking and organizing.
First sit down dinner of our cruise. My kids were tired but did good ending the meal with ice cream. Our travel friends kids ended up falling asleep at dinner. It was a long day.
After dinner Anna and Austin went to the kids play center for a couple of hours. Ella wandered around with Brian and I. Then it was time for bed.
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO
