Title: Sinful Promises

Author: Kitty Kendall

Genre: romance

How I Read It: Kindle Unlimited ebook

My Rating: 3 out of 5

Amazon Description: I’m in the worst kind of trouble.

The kind that has my heart confused and my mind shattered.

It's all his fault. The man of my dreams. The man I can never have.

One night ruined everything. Now it’s over forever.

On top of that, my Mom really is dying.

Leaving Europe is the single hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. That is, until I find something in mother’s home that turns my whole existence upside down.

Roman has shattered my heart to a million pieces.
Yet I don't know if I can live without him.
But finding out if he feels the same could ruin me forever.

My Review: Love how the series ended, but this wasn't my favorite book of the series. To much mama drama. Loved the adventure that Daisy had to go on for her happily ever after.

Title:
How Are You, Really

Author: Jenna Kutcher

Genre: self-help

How I Read It: borrowed physical copy from the library

My Rating: 5 out of 5

Amazon Description: The truth is, we lie. We lie to ourselves about how we’re really feeling and what we really want. Not anymore.

In How Are You, Really?, Jenna Kutcher teaches how to harness your power to take control of your life. You deserve more – and deep down, you know it. If, when you get really honest with yourself, you discover that you want more out of your life: more joy, more passion, more fulfillment, and more peace? This book is for you.

In today’s chaotic world, sometimes you might wake up and not feel like yourself anymore, and you don’t even know how you are… REALLY. You’re trying to balance it all: your family, your work, and your goals, but your emotions are all over the place and you don’t feel as confident and happy as you thought you would.

This book is a guide to reframing your entire life and finally finding your own sense of joy and fulfillment in a world telling you who to be. It’s about understanding what’s going on in your head and finding your way back to a life that is truly your own.

Your expert guide is Jenna Kutcher, who started from working a day job at Target to building an empire while living in a small town in Minnesota as a mom. In her inspirational debut book, she shares how she struggled with these same issues to find her identity and balance in launching a business, raising a family, and, eventually, starting her popular podcast The Goal Digger.

Join the millions of people who count on Jenna’s life and business advice every week because of her authentic example and deep understanding of how women think and strive to achieve their dreams. It’s time to ask yourself the question you’ve been avoiding: How are you, really? It’s time to find your answer, and start living.

My Review: Loved it, light and refreshing but Jenna says it the way no one else is really saying it. Like your friend that needs to hear it and that you care.

Title: A Pumpkin and A Patch

Author: Jennifer Peel

Genre: romance

How I Read It: Kindle Unlimited ebook

My Rating: 4 out of 5

Amazon Description: Every person has that one thing they’re known for, and it doesn’t matter what you do, that one thing—whether good or bad—follows you around like a bloodhound for the rest of your life. For me it’s a story I wrote when I was fifteen. Forever more I will be known as the Reece the Rogue Pirate girl, instead of Josie Peterson. Why couldn’t I be known for all the cute children’s stories I’ve written about my family’s pumpkin patch?

Tragically, the torrid story I wrote as a teen was based on a real person, Reece Cavanaugh. And guess what? He grew up to be a pirate—okay, lawyer. Same thing. To make matters worse, the man is representing my ex-fiancé who wants to steal my treasure, aka engagement ring. If that wasn’t the icing on the cake, Reece has an adorable daughter who happens to be my new student. That’s right, I must now have actual conversations with him after avoiding him for half my life, even by hiding behind banana displays when needed. But the more I get to know Reece—the real version, not the imaginary one who ravishes me on sandy beaches—I can’t help but wish we could roll around in the sand together. There’s a problem though, the school I work for frowns upon relationships between parents and teachers. And it’s pumpkin season, which means all my free time is spent on the family farm. But when he kisses me, I can’t help wanting to break all the rules and get tangled up in the barn. The burning question is, am I brave enough to make my story a reality or will it be another bad ending?

My Review: Cute, relatable, likeable characters, enemies to lovers, and pumpkins. What is not to love about this book. A great, quick read for fall.

Title: The Housemaid

Author: Frieda McFadden

Genre: Thriller

How I Read It: Kindle Unlimited ebook

My Rating: 5 out 5

Amazon Description: “Welcome to the family,” Nina Winchester says as I shake her elegant, manicured hand. I smile politely, gazing around the marble hallway. Working here is my last chance to start fresh. I can pretend to be whoever I like. But I’ll soon learn that the Winchesters’ secrets are far more dangerous than my own…

Every day I clean the Winchesters’ beautiful house top to bottom. I collect their daughter from school. And I cook a delicious meal for the whole family before heading up to eat alone in my tiny room on the top floor.

I try to ignore how Nina makes a mess just to watch me clean it up. How she tells strange lies about her own daughter. And how her husband Andrew seems more broken every day. But as I look into Andrew’s handsome brown eyes, so full of pain, it’s hard not to imagine what it would be like to live Nina’s life. The walk-in closet, the fancy car, the perfect husband.

I only try on one of Nina’s pristine white dresses once. Just to see what it’s like. But she soon finds out… and by the time I realize my attic bedroom door only locks from the outside,
it’s far too late.

But I reassure myself:
the Winchesters don’t know who I really am.

They don’t know what I’m capable of

An unbelievably twisty read that will have you glued to the pages late into the night. Anyone who loves The Woman in the WindowThe Wife Between Us and The Girl on the Train won’t be able to put this down!

My Review: Creepy, twisted, rollercoaster ride,  keeps you guessing, you think you know who done it, but I was totally wrong.

Title: Just Feed Me

Author: Jessie James Decker

Genre: cookbook

How I Read It: borrowed by library

My Rating: 5 out of 5

Amazon Description: In her New York Times bestselling book Just Jessie, Jessie James Decker invited fans into her life, sharing personal moments, honest recollections, and a window into life with her husband Eric Decker and their children. Along the way she also shared some of her favorite recipes from home, showcasing the mouthwatering food that has nourished and delighted her family, leaving readers hungry for more of her home-cooking secrets.

In this, her first cookbook, Jessie goes even further, opening her kitchen cabinets and inviting fans to sit for a spell and enjoy a great meal at the Decker dinner table. Just Feed Me gives fans what they want—simply delicious meals from the heart.  Jessie shares down-home and simple-to-make recipes for drinks, appetizers, and full dinners—many Italian, Southern and Cajun dishes which were handed down to her from her mom. She also offers advice and inspiration for creating the warm, appealing scents and savory feel of her own kitchen, the heart of her household.

Aspirational, beautiful, with fun, fast, and flavorful recipes, Just Feed Me is a family-friendly cookbook and keepsake that will leave Jessie fans asking for second helpings.

My Review: I will admit I started following Jessie on social media after hearing she got on Dancing with the Stars this season, even though I haven't watched one episode. I do love her cookbooks. I have a lot of book marks in the pages of recipes I want to make. Simple recipes that anyone can make. This book is going on my Christmas list.

Title: True Roots

Author: Kristin Cavallari

Genre: cookbook

How I Read It: borrow from library

My Rating: 2 out of 5

Amazon Description: In Balancing in Heels, Kristin Cavallari shared her personal journey along with her tips on everything from style to relationships. And now, with True Roots, Cavallari shows you that improving the way you eat doesn’t have to be difficult—a clean and toxin-free diet can and should be fun, easy, and enjoyable. She learned the hard way that dieting leads nowhere good, and that a clean lifestyle is the ticket to feeling and being healthy.

So how does Kristin eat? Organic as much as possible, wild-caught fish, grass-fed beef, fresh fruits and vegetables, and nothing white—no white flour, sugar, or salt. She avoids anything heavily processed and anything that has been stripped of natural nutrients. She maintains a lifestyle free of toxic chemicals and is passionate about creating delicious and hearty food from
real ingredients. She wants her food to be true, as close to its natural state as possible.

Her recipes—green banana muffins, bison and veggie kabobs, and even zucchini almond butter blondies—are proof that a healthy lifestyle isn’t boring or bland. Feed yourself real food and see how much better you feel, both mentally and physically.

My Review: No recipes screamed at me, omg I want to try. Some were very basic others were not what my family would eat.
