Friday Favorites

Hey loves. It is the weekend!!!!! My kids have a 3 day weekend, unlike some schools that are currently having fall break. Our schools don't have a fall break, do you? Today is a teacher in service day. Two of my kids get the unlucky yearly wellness visit today on their day off. (sorry you don't get to miss a day of school this year) We are going to have fun at a pumpkin patch afterwards. We have the tradition to go each year to the same pumpkin patch that is open on this Friday and have discounts because kids are out of school. We all look forward to it. Ella has been asking because unfortunately she has missed out on some of our fall fun this year as she has been at her dads.

This past week we had colder temps, fighting colds, fun with friends, new sports, and more. We are excited for the weekend with more fall and Halloween fun.

Time for some Friday Favorites with these lovely ladies: Erika, and Andrea.

~ ONE ~

Our family is officially new members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. We have been guests at this church for about 6 months if not longer. We have enjoyed and connected with the church since going and they offered a members class and we joined.

~ TWO ~

Memaw surprised Anna with a new book. It is her new favorite and has been reading it everyday.

There has been a lot of reading going on in our house. I found Anna and Austin reading in Anna's bed. Anna was reading to her dolls.

~ THREE ~

I revamped the recipe for one of our favorite soups, Slow Cooker Sausage Tortellini Soup. It is was perfect for this week with cold rainy crappy fall weather.

~ FOUR ~

Impromptu last minute trip to a pumpkin patch. My girlfriend invited us to go, we had planned on having a relaxing day at home. Instead we hopped in the car and drove the 45 minutes.

It was a cute little farm that had a soybean pit to play in and a maze, both that were inside. Then you could ride a hayride that took you to the patch to pick a pumpkin.

It was not busy and the kids had fun.

~ FIVE ~

My kids kept requesting banana bread. I wanted pumpkin bread. There was sourdough discard that needed used up. Sourdough Banana Pumpkin bread with walnuts and chocolate chips. It has turned into a hit with everyone. topped with a little cream cheese.

~ SIX ~

Little mommies. Both girls have been fighting colds and neither of them want to take a minute to relax. Anna wanted Ella to play with her, Ella wanted to do homework. Instead they cuddled and Ella rubbed Anna's back for a little bit.
