Date Night Ideas on a Budget

Hey friends. My word of the year is INTENTIONAL. Last week I shared my updated goals of the year, one being to connect with Brian more. Having three kids at home, different schedules, and so much going on we have to be intentional with our time together, because our relationship is important too. I made a list of cheap or free date night ideas and decided to share with you. A date night doesn't always mean you have to find a babysitter and leave the house. It can be intentional time after the kids go to bed, or while they are present too.

  1. Coffee Date- go check out a new coffee shop or an all time favorite.
  2. Window Shopping- We use to do this all the time before kids, why not make it a date.
  3. Happy Hour- prices are cheaper and kids are still in school
  4. Picnic at the Park- who doesn't love a picnic
  5. High School Sporting Event- so much cheaper but just as much fun
  6. Go for a Walk- let the kids join you too
  7. Spend time around the Fire- relaxing quiet time
  8. Movie night at home- an adult movie after the kids go to bed
  9. Game night at home- after the kids go to bed or let them join you
  10. Make dinner together- make it something speical
  11. Go for a drive - we go along the lake and in the fall to the Metro Parks to look at the changing of the leaves
  12. Watch Sunset- doesn't have to be at the beach go in your backyard
  13. Lunch Date- while the kids are at school take a little break
  14. Go Get Ice Cream- You deserve some too
  15. Wine night at home- Buy a few bottles from Aldi's or Trader Joes and turn into Wine tasting,
What fun affordable date nights do you do?
