Our Week with 4th of July

Hey Friends. Catching up on some weekly recaps. Sharing our week of July 4th.

Sunday June 30

9am church service. After the service and getting donuts because for the kids that is the best part of church is checking on the progress of the outdoor pavilion they are building.

We went home and rested for a little bit before we had to head over to my Mother in law for a cookout with out of town family. Brian noticed a gash in his tire wall of the truck. I said it wasn't a good idea because when it blows it is going to blow not just slowly loose air. We drove the 5 minutes to his moms because the truck was already loaded.

When we got there his uncle looked at the tire and agreed with me so they swapped the tire. Thankfully the truck had a full size spare.

We had family in from Seattle from we haven't seen in at least 6 years and Kentucky who we haven't seen since last October. My kids got to meet their cousins for the first time. They all got along so well. Here they are playing beer wagon and bringing everyone beer.

All 5 cousins of the day.

Monday July 1

Monday morning up early, trying to get into a healthy routine, making time for me before the day begins. Got up and started a new workout program.

Breakfast eggs, bagel and coffee collagen.

I have no idea what we did the rest of the day.

That evening was Austin's last game of the season before playoffs. It was also his first game this year since breaking his arm and having nerve damage. He did awesome. Scored his first run and made it to base all 3 times he was up to bat. He had his own cheering team- Grandma, Aunt Judy, Uncle Kenny, Uncle Brandon, Aunt Leah, and Lauren, as well as Anna and myself.

Tuesday July 2

Anna requested that I braid her hair before we took Austin to speech therapy.

Sitting in the car at speech, which is only 30 minutes. Anna watches a movie and I read. I also took my pre-workout with me to workout when we got home.

I snapped a picture of this flower. Shocked that it had bloomed. Normally the deer get to it before they bloom. (it was gone the next day)

Relaxing outside with a drink and talking with Brian when Mama deer just walks in the yard. She gave me the feed me look so I grabbed her some corn.

Wednesday July 3

They always look so sweet when they have a sleepover.

Up early again to get my quiet time done.

I was sitting here and kept hearing something behind me. Usually it is crows in the leaves or the squirrels.

To my surprise it was Mama deer with her twins.

Workout 3 of pre-week done.

Nothing exciting happened the rest of the day. Brian put on the fireworks that were live streamed from Disney World.

Thursday July 4

Up early to get my workout done because I know if I didn't get it done early it wouldn't get done.

Austin requested pancakes, Brian wanted bacon. I added fruit.

Last minute decision to go to the 4th of July parade. We ended up meeting up with some friends. We normally went towards the end of the parade, this year we were at the start of the parade. The kids got more candy, and frozen popsicles. They had a blast.

I can see this as a new tradition.

After resting for a little bit we headed across to our neighbors house for a cookout. They had a pool set up for the kids and games to play. I love that the girls just go in the garden and eat. They were eating peas and some lettuce.

We had originally planned to go watch the cities fireworks, but it was raining off and on. Dealing with parking, traffic, walking and sitting in the rain didn't sound like fun so we stayed at our neighbors. The kids played with glow sticks, sparklers, and pop its.

Friday July 5

I shared a full day in the life summer edition

Saturday July 6

Brian had an early showing. Came home and grabbed our neighbor. They came back with a toy for the weekend.

Boys and their toys. Brian rented an excavator to move large rocks and level out part of the yard.

The neighbors and Uncle got their hands dirty too and were big help.

I missed a workout on day so I pressed play on Saturday.

I took Austin to a birthday party at a local nature center. Anna played in the kids room for a few minutes. There was a cute climbing tree.

Some animal skins to feel, books to read, birds to watch. We could have spent a lot more time there, but we had plans to go to my parents house which was 5 minutes from the birthday party.

Before we left Anna wanted a picture on the frog.

We ended the evening with the neighbor kids over and swimming. The trailer that the excavator was on was a fun ramp to race cars down.
