What's Up Wednesday August 2024

Hey friends. Happy What's Up Wednesday. How is it already the last Wednesday of the August. Two of my kids started school today and we have Kindergarten orientation. I don't knowhow I feel about this yet. My last one is going to school. Her first full day is tomorrow, I will cry now.

It's that time for What's Up Wednesday with Shay, and Sheaffer. On the last Wednesday of every month we are all invited to share a little bit everything that has been going on for the past month.

On the last week of August here's what's up...

~ WHAT I AM REMINISCING ABOUT ~

Look at Ella on her first day of Kindergarten how is she starting 7th grade this year?

Plus the only time she was ever a cheerleader for a school district we never belonged to (her father signed her up and she hated it). This year she is talking about auditioning for show choir and drama.

Austin was so little when he started Kindergarten. He is going in 3rd grade this year.

~ WHAT I AM LOVING ~

I have no idea what kind of flower this is, but I love it when they last before the deer eat them.

My wonderful neighbor brought over some flowers from her award winning vegetable garden. These flowers are some of the pollinators to help her produce. I had also given her two loaves of fresh bread.

My little princess. I love that she still wants to go cheek to cheek.

This is called sibling love.

~ WHAT WE HAVE BEEN UP TO ~

Spending time together as a family

I went with Brian on a work trip to Orlando that resulted in some resort hopping (no we didn't go to Magic Kingdom)

But Brian and his nephew that works at Disney World surprised me with a day at Epcot.

Fire and smores.

Getting the last few uses out of the blow up pool that has a hole in the top tube, we went through 3 pools this year, they don't last like they use to. Fingers crossed next year we get a bigger pool.

Getting ready for back to school means working with Austin on writing with his right hand. When last school year ended he still couldn't move his fingers to hold a pencil and write after breaking his arm and getting nerve damage.

Ella enjoying some dragon fruit that she ended up making into a dragon fruit lemonade refresher.

Some time spent at Cedar Point.

My own little Taylor Swift. Anna grabs a microphone, microphone stand, and broom as her guitar and watching/performs with Taylor.

I am on my last week of Bodi Lava. I have enjoyed this 6 week 20 minutes 5 days a week program. It may have taken me 8 ish weeks to complete but I have now gotten into a health routine.

  1. That first flower is a type of day lily (what specific type I don't know but I have a few varieties of day lilies planted around our yard). Those throwback photos are so cute! Good luck to all your kiddos (and you!) with everyone in school in this year.

I'm weird in that EPCOT is my favorite Disney park. I mean I like the Magic Kingdom too but I just love EPCOT.
