Weigh In Wednesday September 2024

Hey friends. This month has flown by. I had my yearly doctors appointment for wellness. It didn't go as well as I would have hoped, I will be sharing more about that below. I am linking up with Slices of Life for Weigh In Wednesday.

What I am doing:

I completed Bodi Lava workout program that uses just bought weight with yoga and primal movements. I enjoyed the program. It wasn't my favorite, was actually harder than I expected but I saw growth within myself while doing it.

I am now doing a program with all the weights. I enjoy weighted workouts over cardio based workouts.

I also got a couple of rides on my MYX bike.

For the past few weeks I have also added in nightly stretches. This has helped with getting in the mindset/rest mode for falling asleep easier, and less aches and sore muscles in the morning.

What I've been eating:

It may not feel like fall but we are in our weekly soup rotation. Last week was roasted tomato soup.

This week is tomato spinach tortellini soup.

The scale, numbers, and changes I am noticing:
  • The scale hasn't changed.
  • I am noticing more energy throughout the day.

What I want to do different:
  • Last month I said I wanted to do walks after the kids went to school, I haven't even done one walk. I need to make the commitment to walking more and hitting 10,000 steps a day.
  • More veggies.
  • hit my 80oz water goal.
What my doctor said:
Last week I got normal blood work done to check my levels. Compared to last year my bad cholesterol is high and my good cholesterol is low. The doctor isn't overly concerned but gave suggestions of foods to ate more of. If it continues to go up next then we will take a dive in further.
  • oatmeal
  • beans
  • Brussel sprouts
  • salmon
  • tuna
  • flaxseed
  • avocado
  • apples/grapes/berries/oranges
  • whole grains
  • eggplant
She loves all the supplements I am taking. Her only suggestion based on age, my back history, and I don't do dairy is to add a calcium supplement. The doctors other recommendation was to keep up with my workouts, weights over cardio, and more walking.

Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
