Hey loves. It's the first Friday of 2025. I remember growing up and I would write the wrong year for months. It feels so natural to say 2025 I think I am just ready for a new year. I thought I would be ready to kick my kids off to school after they have been home for two weeks, but I am not ready for them to go back. We had a fun break, not much fighting either.
Time for some Friday Favorites with these lovely ladies: Erika, and Andrea. Sharing a few favorites from the last week. I will do a bigger winter break recap next week.

I put on these nail stickers (at least that is what I call them) from Lily and Fox. I have used them quite a few times. This time they have lasted 2 weeks. (ignore the nap of the Christmas tree I cut it myself). I put clear nail polish over them and focused on the seems and they have lasted so well. They are also so affordable, only $2.99.

Merry Christmas from my three amazing kids. They have gotten along for the most part all vacation, playing together, the younger two having sleepovers, helping each other out. I am excited for summer with them older.
~ THREE ~
The most random, most used Christmas gift. I got these gymnastics mats off Facebook Marketplace. My thought was Anna could sit on the downstairs to have more space to play or use them outside to sleep on in a tent. I did not expect hours, yes hours of "working out" on Youtube. They searched for fun workouts for kids and have been having a blast. It is fun little brain break videos that they are use to doing in school also.
They have also used to the mats to build forts and as a seat to play board games at the coffee table.
~ FOUR ~
It has been a while since we seen the deer in our yard. We have probably only seen them a handful of times since Halloween. Earlier this week there were 9 females hanging out in our woods. I grabbed some food and fed them.
~ FIVE ~
My big task for the week, rearranging Anna's room and putting the Barbie dream house in it. The dream house was Ella's and has been in our basement. Anna would would go down there and play if someone else was down there. I cleaned out her closet, put her Lego bookshelf in the closet got rid of baby stuff I was holding on to, took her kitchen play set to the basement where the Barbie house was. Her room feels less cluttered and she can play with it all she wants now.

I started a new Instagram for all things Simply Homemade. One of my new projects for the year.

That sounds like a wonderful holiday! Love all the exercise too. Isn't it funny when the gifts we don't think will be that big of hit turn out to be the best.
ReplyDeleteYes I love that they are being active and not being forced into doing it.
DeleteSo good to know an honest review on the Lily and Fox. I have read about those and was curious how long they last. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI have tried other brands that only last a few days if I am lucky. This is the longest that Lily and Fox lasted but I did a clear coat this time.
DeleteHappy new year!
ReplyDeleteI love your nails, so festive! It sounds like the kids had a great Christmas break and had a lot of fun with the gymnastic mats.
The gymnastic mats have been a hit.
