Hey loves. It's Friday. It's a busy weekend. We have music ala mode which is the district wide music fundraiser all day Saturday. This year Ella is only in one performance (last year was 2). Sunday is Mother's day which we are hosting again this year. Do you know what that means, I have been cleaning the house in preparation for it. I remember seeing a reel a few years ago that was something about its Mother's Day sure I may not have to do anything "today" but I did extra to prep and after to make up for not doing anything the day of. That sounds about right. Do you feel the same way?
~ ONE ~
Austin is grounded from all electronics for the week, He has been spending lots of time with his sister and doing whatever she wants to do including yoga.
~ TWO ~
We are on baby watch at the church. This mother goose is sitting on 4 eggs. This picture was taken through a window, I am not standing that close to her unprotected. She picked the perfect spot in the courtyard that currently no one really uses. She is also under a patio that also Is never used. She is protected from rain and people but the perfect spot to watch her out the window.

This week at the elementary school is career week, as well as spirit week, and teacher appreciation week. For career week the parents had homework to take one of their child's stuffed animals to work with them and take a picture of the stuffed animal doing their job. Anna wanted me to take Snow White to work with me. She is answering the phone and working in my office.
Austin wanted Brian to take Tank the turtle with him to work. That day Brian was working at the real estate office. He had a meeting then follow up emails and what not to do.

Brian and I had a day date. It started with flower shopping and lunch. I got a sangria. (at first I thought it was a pine tree in my drink not rosemary)
We went to an arepa restaurant. I got chicken and Brian got beef. It was really good.

Last year for my birthday my parents got me a bird feeder that you put on the window. It lasted about 6 months before a fat squirrel broke it. Brian had leaned a pallet against the fireplace (which is right next to the window) and the squirrel climbed up the pallet and jumped into the feeder and knocked it down. That feeder was only held up by suction cups and when it hit the ground the plastic broke.
The other day a Cardinal hit the patio door. He had been hanging around everyday for at least the last 2 weeks. I had bought a new bird feeder a few weeks ago but hadn't gotten around to putting it up. He motivated me to put it up. This feeder is held up by self adhesive hooks aka stickers. We will see how it holds up, but so far the Cardinal is enjoying it.

It sounds like a busy weekend planned. Have a great Mother's Day. I always have the day off from the chores and then have to play catch up on the Monday. lol
ReplyDeleteGood on Austin for finding something to do apart from his electronics.
How exciting to have the mother goose sitting on the eggs, I hope they all hatch.
Oh those squirrels really are quite determined and acrobatic. We have window feeder too and our squirrel has tried climbing the siding, jumping from a nearby chair (that is in no way close enough!), and jumping from our deck railing (that weirdly is further than the chair). I hope you have a happy mother's day!
