Let's Look- Current Wellness Routine

Hey loves. Happy Wednesday. It's a double post day. Linking up with Hodge Podge  too.

I am linking up today with Erika and Shay for this month's Let Look

This month's topic is our Current Wellness Routine

If you have been following along for a while you know I have been on the struggle bus with my health and wellness. Staying consistent with workouts recently has been a mental struggle. I feel like with social media there are so many conflicts of what you hear you should be doing or shouldn't be doing. From how long to workout to what to eat, are you drinking enough water, eating enough protein, fats, carbs, etc. It is overwhelming and we all know what works for one person may not work for another. With the overwhelm at times I just do nothing.

Yes I maybe on the struggle bus but I am learning to come to terms of what works for me is what works for me currently. I am beyond the phase of working out 7 days a week, not doing 45 minute workouts, intermediate fasting doesn't work for our family (we eat meals as a family and that is more important to me for that connection with my kids and avoiding them having unhealthy views on diet and exercise), if I don't get up and workout at 530/6 am the likeliness of a workout happening is less than 10%. I use to be a stay at home mom and my kids were home and motivated me to go downstairs and get a workout in. Now I work out of the home 3 days a week, I work from home the other 2 days, two different jobs. I lose energy and motivation to get anything done later in the day especially if my kids are home and they want to play or go outside I am not going to the basement.

What I have done previously:
  • gym membership that I barely ever used (really went to go tanning but never wanted to be sweaty or push myself)
  • weight watchers before I got married with some friends, lost a 10 pounds back then but gained it back after getting married and living on our own and eating out a lot
  • at home workouts have been my go to and has worked with kids home, I had my best results when I was a Beachbody coach and had accountability with other ladies online
  • MYX bike I have used it less than 50 times, I love to ride a bike outside but not in the basement
  • The Ladies Edge online workouts 23 minutes a day this has been my most recent favorite of quick effective workouts and getting it done. The struggle is they move fast and I get discouraged when I can't do something

Currently doing:
  • Walking- I got a walking pad to use while I am working and getting my steps in. (getting my steps in as I am typing this)
  • Faster Way Workouts- about 30 minute options. I could workout 7 days, but I am only getting workouts done 3 to 4 days a week
  • Water- All the water I get at least 80 oz a day
  • Limit alcohol- I usually only have a drink on the weekends and have been limiting it to 1 to 2 drinks
  • Limit snacking- I try not to buy the snacks that I crave because usually I am not hungry I am either bored or thirsy
  • Give yourself grace I am by no means perfect. Life happens.
  • Getting the natural vitamin d outside as much as we can.
  • Spend time with people who bring me up
  • Limiting negativity and things I have no control over (ie: the news)
  • Getting a restful night sleep (I notice when I drink my mela-out drink I sleep better but forget to drink it alot need to get in a better habit)
  • Eating very minimal processed foods and snacks
  • taking off makeup every night
  • supplements- collagen, bcca, vitamins
Goals:
  • mindset morning- gratitude, Bible study, devotional
  • more time outside
  • less scrolling social media
  • more veggies
  • bedtime reading- either a Christian book or personal development before I grab another book
