Hey loves. Happy Wednesday. I am joining in the Hodge Podge link up with Joyce over at From This Side of the Pond for the last link up of 2025
1. What's one thing on your to-do list that you want to get done, need to get done, or that must get done before the year ends?
I forever have a long to do list of things I would like to get done, like clean the basement, get rid of toys, remove wallpaper, etc. There is nothing pressing that must be done.
2. December 17th is National Maple Syrup Day...are you a fan? Do you like maple flavor in other food items such as candy, cookies, donuts, oatmeal, hot toddies, coffee?
I like maple syrup on pancakes, waffles, and sausage links. I don't like anything else maple flavored. When I was pregnant with Austin I still worked at Dunkin and the smell of maple donuts would make me nauseous.
This year they've named The AI Architects as their 'person of the year'. What say you? Is this a good choice, an obvious choice, a logical choice? Who do you think should have been named person of the year?
I think it is scary and sad the way AI is taking over. I don't agree with their choice.
4. What's a city, state, or country you've visited that you never care to visit again? Tell us why.
Year ago I went on a cruise and went to Jamaica and was not fond of it. I felt very uncomfortable and not safe. I wouldn't say I would never care to visit again, but I would go with a different mindset and plan.
5. Next Sunday (December 21st) marks the first day of winter (or the opposite if you're living down under). What's one thing you love about this new season?
I love that winter brings snow, even though we have had snow for a good month already. If it is going to be cold I would also like it pretty with white fluffy snow.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
This week is crazy busy with school activities, Girl Scouts x2, drama practice, after school French meeting, sports, and trying to do all the holiday things. This holiday season is also flying by. We haven't even gone out driving around looking at Christmas lights yet this year. Hopefully tonight.

It is a busy time of year for sure and I'm trying to enjoy all the moments. I have finally finished my shopping and need to finish wrapping today. I think there are many places I've traveled in years past I wouldn't feel comfortable visiting now. So much random crime and people on a mission to destroy. Have a merry Christmas and definitely get out to see the lights!
ReplyDeleteAhh! I have a same long to do list but most of it is January's problem now. hehehe
ReplyDeleteJamaica is somewhere I would like to visit but I think I would have to go with a big plan.
I hope you get to see the Christmas lights! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I felt the same way about a few of the islands we visited in the Western Caribbean on our cruise; not that I wouldn't necessarily go there again but they wouldn't make it onto a "oh I want to see that again!" list.
