Hey loves. Happy Tuesday. I jinxed myself by saying we were going to have a full five days of school for all the kids this week. I have one child home running a fever, one with a cold but tells me it's allergies and they are fine, and a third that fought to go to school (really just wanted to be home with sick sibling)
Getting this post out late on Tuesday after spending all evening working on an annual report for work. It did not go as planned. Copy and paste wasn't formatting right, I didn't have the images I needed, etc. but I got it done. Now I just have to edit requests and publish them for our congregation.
I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday. Let's see what we did this weekend and a little beyond.
Friday
Before school Go Fish playing. This was a first and called for a rushed fighting morning between the TV being on (not my choice) and playing a card game that took longer than anticipated making them rushed to get out the door.
I scheduled a much needed eyebrow appointment, my last one I wasn't happy with the shaping. This time I had my regular girl and they turned out great. After my appointment I grabbed a Dubai chocolate cold brew coffee. OMG it is delicious and probably my favorite ever. Then some shopping at Trader Joes. They are all in the same location. I will be sharing a Trader Joes Haul soon.
Plans changed quite a bit throughout the day. Anna and Austin were supposed to have a sleepover at my parents, but my niece potentially had lice. I do not have lice on my 2026 bingo card, twice in 2025 was enough for a lifetime. So we switched up baby sitters and our neighbors were going to watch my kids for a few hours (then we would watch theirs on Saturday). Ella had a dentist and we got there early so we were out early. My girlfriend got out of trial (she had jury duty) early. After Ella's appointment I grabbed a drink with my girlfriends. We got the kids off the bus at the wrong stop, thankfully the bus driver knows and likes me. The kids all played, then Brian and I headed to date night.
We had got tickets to the Lake Erie Monsters game in a fundraiser. They were lounge seats with food and drinks included. The seats were comfy, spacious I never want to sit in regular seats again.
They also did very heavy pours on wine. It was a 12 oz cup.
We had a good night, the Monsters won, and our kids decided they wanted to have a sleepover with their friends.
Saturday
The kids had a good sleepover. Usually our friends kids end up in their bed, since they had a friend in their bed, they didn't bother their parents. We will all take that as a win. They did all wake up at 6am though.
I however did not have a good night. The food we had at the game did not agree with me. I am learning the hard way I don't do well with deep fried food. I ended up staying home while Brian took Austin and Anna to their basketball games.
While Anna was at her game our neighbors took Austin with them to lunch and walking around the ice festival at Crocker Park. They all behaved and had a good time.
Anna kept checking on me and became a cuddle butt.
Brian decided to plan a dinner that the kids could help with. And we had all the kids. They made homemade meatballs and Brian made homemade pasta sauce and two different pastas.
The girls didn't complain and loved mixing it up.
The boys on the other band did not like touching raw meat and making the meatballs. But they all enjoyed helping and eating dinner.
These two are made of rubber. They were cute taking turns leading their gymnastic/yoga/aerial classes.
Notice the feet on her forehead. I have never bent like this.
Sunday
The morning started off rough. I was putting dishes away and dropped 5 bowls. 3 of them broke as well as one of Ella's cups. There was glass all over the floor, stove, microwave and behind the microwave. While cleaning it up I moved the microwave and ended up dropping it too. Not how I planned to start my morning.
A somewhat normal morning at church followed by Anna's last first communion class. She got to try bread for the first time, had grape juice, didn't want to try the wine, and made her own bread. After church Brian's brother came over with his daughter for the girls to play. The dads worked on our basement.
We ended the evening with the neighbors eating around the world. We put different countries in a hat then had to pick a country and order something off door dash/ Uber eats. We ended up with Thailand, Italian, and American. It was a fun evening.
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO
