Hey loves. Happy Thursday. It's Time for Monthly Musings with for Patty and Holly.
1- Are you Good at managing the weekly laundry at your house or do you need help?
3- What grocery items do you always have on hand to make a quick meal?
Chicken, Mac and cheese, hot dogs, lunch meat, frozen veggies
4- Best tips for saving money on groceries.
Plan your meals, make a list, and stick to it. This is easier said than done. When I want to really stick to my list and not impulse shop I will do Instacart pick up. I have determined it is about $5 on average more than the actual cost of purchasing in store, which includes the $2 fee. But I don't impulse buy. If you do delivery it is more with delivery fee, some items are even more expensive than pick up, and you have to tip.
5- Cleaning service- DIY or is house cleaning overrated?
I do all our house cleaning. I would love to get someone to deep clean once a quarter or something but haven't bit that cost yet.
6- Favorite cleaning products?
I buy all our cleaning products (and so much more) from the wellness box. It is a referral company but prices are cheaper than box stores. We love their products. Interested in more info on the wellness box
7- Do you try to use green products in your house?
Yes the products from the wellness box are safe natural chemicals but still amazing at cleaning. I just cleaned our bathroom yesterday and I wasn't "dying" from inhaling cleaning fumes.
8- Do you schedule certain tasks for certain days of the week?
I use to have a cleaning schedule that I did each day when I was a stay at home mom. Now that I work out of the house 3 days a week, and work from home as well, my schedule is all over the place. Wednesday is garbage day so the house garbage always gets done and cleaning out the fridge. Friday I work from home and do the laundry and usually go grocery shopping. Besides that I try to fit everything else in when I have time.
9- What is the most overwhelm part of your week that you think you need help with right now?
Making time for everything I want to get done.
10- What part of your week do you think you excel at?
hmmmm.

We tried once a week for laundry once as most of us have lots and lots of clothes too but I found those large piles daunting; however, I can see that with your schedule that would work best. Sometimes you have to try out a few different methods before finding the one that works best for you.
ReplyDeleteI do laundry more than once a week, but I do agree that having a set schedule for when I do it makes sense. Good to know about the price comparisons that you've done using Instacart. I keep meaning to switch to instacart pick-up or similar service but don't want to wind up spending more. I am going to figure it out soon!
ReplyDeleteGreat tip on Wellness Box. I will have to check that out. Thanks for joining up this month.
