Slow Cooker Rotisserie Style Chicken

Who doesn't love the flavor you get from a Rotisserie Chicken. I always have the best intentions of going and buying an already cooked Rotisserie Chicken to make dinner so much easier. It just never happens. I really hate taking the kids to the store with me. My mother shared with me this slow cooker recipe she found from Betty Crocker. I made it for the first time a few months ago and everyone loved it. I bought a whole chicken again last week and decided to make it again. In true Adrienne-Style I tweaked the recipe. It turned out so moist and delicious.

Slow Cooker Rotisserie Style Chicken
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken (3-5 pounds)
2 Tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp onion powder
1 Tbsp garlic powder
2 cups water

Directions:
1- Pat chicken dry, place in slow cooker breast side up
2- Add 2 cups of water to bottom of slow cooker (DO NOT DUMP ON CHICKEN)
3- In a small bowl combine brown sugar, chili powder, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder.
4- Rub dry mix all over chicken.
5- Cover, cook on high for 3-4 hours, low 6-8 hours.
7- Serve.
8- Enjoy!!

Extras:
- In the bottom of the slow cooker I always add carrots. My kids love cooked carrots and will eat a whole bag.
- You can always add onion for more flavor
- Occasionally we also add cut up potatoes and make the whole meal in the slow cooker.
