When I look back at 2020 I can say I honestly read a lot more than I ever anticipated I would. I am happy I have gotten back into the habit of reading. From romance, to thrillers, to personal development. I enjoy reading and keeping my mind dreaming. This year I am going to make a goal of 1 personal development book a month, and 3 others. Lets look back what I read in December of 2020.

What I Read:

Cute romantic Christmas book. Two people who are not fans of Christmas, come together for a Christmas home decorating show in a cute little town that loves Christmas. An adorable Christmas read.

Two quick romantic Christmas stories in one book. A feisty, romantic comedy I couldn't put down.

I borrowed this book from our library after so many other bloggers have said how good it was. It was a fun read, not my typical romance. It was a slow read, some good parts, some ehh parts. At one point I did have to push myself to finish, and I am glad I did.

I am a girl Rachel Hollis fan. It seems like when I read her books it is right when I need them for different reasons.

If you need a kick in the butt for motivation to work towards making your dreams a realty. This book is for you. Sean tells you how it is, the truth without beating around the bush with the facts. A quick good read.

  1. My husband and I did the A little God time for couples a few years ago and really liked it- I need to check out the mom version. Love your reading goals for the year.

  2. I didn't know Autumn Calabrese had a book! How is it? I need to read Shaking the Sleigh and Special Delivery. I am very much a romance fan. So, I read two of Rachel's books and I liked them. They were at times I needed to hear a lot of what she was saying. But overall, and with everything that has come out about her, I sort of a lost a little respect for her I think? I dont know. She built a whole empire on a vision of a perfect life/marriage and then you find out it was all a lie. So I don't see me picking up any of her new "self help" type books. A Little God Time for Mothers sounds like something I need.

    1. Autumn's book was just released a few months ago. I am enjoying it so far. I love that she is from Ohio and hearing her full story.
I agree about losing respect for Rachel after her lieing about her perfect marriage.

  5. Even though the Shopaholic books will never be as good as the first few in the series, I will always seek out the newest one! I love that world.
