Not Just A Mom- Home Tour

Hey loves. It has been a whirl wind of a weekend. Incase you missed it, on Thursday night my niece, Claudia had a grand mal seizure. Eeg showed no other signs off seizures just a lot of sparks as they called down the center of her brain the said she has probably had these since she was around six years old and may outgrow them around 10 something do do with speech problems she had earlier (my sister and I and my son Austin also both has speech problems) no idea if she will have more seizures. She will have a follow up in a few weeks where we will get more questions answered. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. She is home and acting normal, just extremely scared and doesn't understand what happened. She was over yesterday for Audrianna's birthday and enjoyed seeing Ella home too.

Now onto another month of Not Just A Mom. July is already flying with it being the second Monday.

I will be linking up with these wonderful mama's every month.

Each month we will taking a peak into our lives and sharing different aspects.

April - Favorite Family Memories

May- Concerts

June- Quick Family Dinners

This month we are doing Home Tours.

I love taking a look in homes and seeing how others live, what works for them (that may work for me) and getting new ideas.

Welcome to our home. It is nothing special but it is our home. We live in a 3 bedroom ranch with a finished basement. Over the 6 years we have been here we have done some updating. Lets take a look: Little disclaimer first- I planned on taking better pictures, but yesterday was rainy and crappy, and I lost my mind with stress all weekend.

Our little front porch. I painted the Mickey and Minnie pots. Behind them are also Donald and Daisy that are hard to see. To the side I have wooden crates with summer decorations, I have no pictures of the decorations.

To the far left you can see the little entry way with the Mickey Mouse patriotic wreath and a hidden Mickey mirrors. (Ella was telling us all about her vacation with her dad and had to sit in the middle of the room on a stool)

Also in this picture you can see our bench at the front door (from Overstock), Brian's family buffet is over 100 years old and works great at a tv stand and toy storage.

Our living room is set up to with toy storage in the corner. The kids stand on the kids chair and look out the window and our L shaped couch. (ignore the wrong name on the chair, I got it for $10) I love my Disney World Magic Kingdom castle fireworks puzzle picture hanging on the wall.

Austin and Audrianna share a room. (our goal is to get a 4 bedroom house soon)

Ella's Mickey and Minnie room. She also has Mermaids all over the one wall. She has her own room, but shared a changing table and closet with Audrianna.

The Master Bedroom.

Dining Room

The kitchen with new floors, painted cupboards, and granite counter tops.

More Kitchen Photos

The organized toy side of the basement. (no it doesn't always look like this. I purged toys)

The other side of the basement.

Office in the basement

The swingset. the kids have gotten the use of this for the past 4 years. (Ella is chasing a deer) We a fire pit, and plenty of room to run around.

Next to the house we have a little play area for the kids with a house, a toy box, and a dirt hole. I found cheap outdoor carpet at Costco to make is softer to walk on. The dirt pit is just a hole that the kids play in and dig it and make a mess. Let kids to kids.

The back patio. We eat out here a lot in the summer, really anytime weather permits.

If you also did a Home Tour post today please link up with us below! Next month we will be doing our "Daily Must Haves".

  5. I'm sorry to hear about your niece and hope they find some answers soon. That must be so scary.

I love your outdoor space and I agree -- kids need a place to be able to play in the dirt too -- not just all the structured stuff.

  6. So sorry to hear about your niece; that is so scary. Hope they have answers soon. I am so jealous of your large finished basement! We've been working on ours for nearly 18 years now... and finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. We try to eat outside whenever the weather allows too.
