Stove Top Chicken Alfredo with Broccoli
Ingredients:
- 2 Tbsp EVOO
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced bite size pieces
- salt/pper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 6 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
- salt/tpepper
- 1 head of broccoli, diced
- 8 oz pasta of your choice
Directions:
- Cook pasta according to direction on box.
- In a large skillet, over medium heat, drizzle EVOO.
- Add chicken and brown until cooked all the way through about 6 to 8 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
- Add butter to skillet. Once butter is melted add minced garlic. Cook for 30 seconds.
- Whisk flour until butter until flour is absorbed.
- Slowly pour milk and heavy cream while whisking to avoid clumping. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 3-4 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Whisk in grated parmesan, Italian seasoning, and salt/pepper
- Stir in the cooked chicken, broccoli, and cooked pasta. Coating everything evenly.
- Serve
