Weigh in Wednesday

Hey loves. I linking up with Joanne  Slices of Life for Weigh In Wednesday. It has been a rough start to the year lets dive in on what's going on in my health and wellness journey. What is working, what isn't working, what I am changing, etc.

How’s Your Fitness Journey Going in 2025?

Let’s Check In!

Can you believe we’re already more than halfway through February? It’s the perfect time to pause and reflect—how are you feeling about your health and fitness so far this year? Did you start off the year running and hitting all those goals? Or has it been a slow battle to work towards new routines?

On a scale from 1 to 5:
5 = You’re thriving and crushing your goals! 💪
1 = You’re feeling off track and need some guidance.

✨ Here's My Honest Check-In:

January I would rate a 1 maybe a 2. I started off ehh then it tanked. I got a head cold that gave me very little energy to get through the day, 3 pm crashes, and no motivation. I was still getting use to my new work routine of having to be at the office every Monday (as long as the kids are at school). My goal for February was to get into a morning routine again, no excuses and make myself a commitment. I know I thrive with consistency and routines.

February started off with me having a the neurovirus stomach bug. How often do we joke that we are a stomach bug away from our goal weight? tmi- I was sick for a continuous 12 hours straight, then I was so exhausted, and uncomfortable stomach pains that I didn't do much of anything for 4 days. I will say the benefit is I got over that plateau. I went from 155 to 149. I am currently back to 151 two weeks later.

It is Wednesday, I am typing this up on Tuesday evening. Our week has been off with my kids having the last two days off school, this is honestly the story of my life this year and a horrible excuse I am using for everything. I am not as motivated or productive with my kids home. Depending on which kid has been sick there have been a lot more cuddles.

Monday I started a 5 day challenge with Faster Way. I thought it would be a great motivation kick start to get back into a routine. I have done a previous 5 day challenge with this company and loved it, which I am also loving it so far. However I can't mentally or financially commit to $250 for 6 weeks then $79 a month after that. I currently pay $37 a month for The Ladies Edge, which I also do love their workouts that are only 23 minutes a day.

Take a Moment to Reflect:

To help you and me figure out what’s serving you/me in this season of life, here are a few questions we can ask ourselves:

  1. How do I feel physically, mentally, and emotionally right now?
    • What is energizing me?
      • Moving my body, getting a workout in, or steps on my walking Pad.
    • What is draining me?
      • Not being consistent, messed up schedules, everyone being sick, and random days off school.
  2. What commitments align with my priorities and goals?
    • Am I staying true to what matters most to me?
      • No. I need to make me a priority. I KNOW that when I take care of myself I am a better mom, in a better mood, have more energy, etc.
  3. What small changes could I make to feel more in alignment?
    • Is there something I need to let go of or adjust?
      • Press play, stop pressing snooze, fuel my body with not just chocolate.

  1. I have been in such a nice rythm of 3 hikes a week. This week we had rain continuously for 5 days so it was a bit hard to hike but eventually I got out yesterday when there was a lull in the rain. It was muddy and wet but I felt so good afterwards.
