Hello Monday 5.19.25

Hey loves. Happy Monday. How was your weekend? We have another crazy busy week ahead but with colder wet weather.

I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday. Let's see what we did this weekend.

Thursday- Anyone else felt like Thursday was Friday?

Anna was home sick with strep throat. She wears feeling better after her first dose of medicine but had to stay home for 24 hours. I worked a half day then swapped with Brian so one of us was home with her.

We ended up at our neighbors house for a the kids to run around outside. We had dinner there and the kids got a tractor ride.

Based on the look on her face, I fear the day she starts driving.

Friday

Our schools were honoring and supporting our neighboring city, Bay Village and Dylan Veselic wearing Bay Blue colors. Dylan died following an injury while playing Lacrosse.

Austin had a walk to school day. It is about a 1/2 mile walk they do and they separate it based on grade. Anna missed her the day she was sick so Anna joined Austin on his. I was also watching our neighbor that morning so he joined us in the walk too.

Since I was already out of the house I got my grocery shopping done early for the day. I also had time to record a grocery haul video

It was a gorgeous day and both kids got extra recess at school and surprisingly at the same time. Anna's teacher sent me this picture.

After school Austin played with the boys across the street and Anna's friend came over to play Barbies for a little bit.

Brian was suppose to be home around 4 to go out to dinner. He ended up not getting home until after 5. I became an old lady and sat outside listening to the birds. I love this free app- Merlin Bird ID, you start recording and it listens and tells you what bird(s) are making noise.

We still ended up going out to dinner but it was later than originally planned. Anna requested a quesadilla so we went out for Mexican. Our service sucked, we filled up on chips before we ever even ordered dinner because our waiter disappeared. I drank 3/4 of my water before he even brought us our pitcher of margarita that tasted like straight mix and no tequila. The food was delicious and once we ordered we got the food quickly. Anna didn't like her quesadilla after all this because it was white cheese and not orange. She did like the sinks in the bathrooms.

After dinner we walked around Crocker Park and visited the Lego store. Anna wanted pictures of Legos she is asking for for her birthday and she insisted on being in the picture too.

They also played with Lego's for a few minutes before we finished walking around and headed home with an early night.

Saturday

Saturday was a weird day that I had no plans. Brian was working at the church all morning. He took Austin with him to help move dirt, plant flowers, and ride his bike around the parking lot. Anna and I stayed home. I made a lot of waffles, got marketing work done for the real estate company, and played some games with Anna. I ended up picking Austin up after a few hours and he came home and played with Anna.
After Brian was done at the church he came home showered and headed to show houses.

The kids and I ended up at our neighbors house for the kids to play with each other and to give the moms a break. The boys were wild. Why were they climbing the fence? Who knows.

We came home and Anna said my bed is ready. Umm how is  Austin and Anna supposed to sleep in this bed with all the stuffed animals. They opted to sleep in Austin's room. (they have sleepovers every weekend and whenever there is not school)

Sunday

Brian left early to "open" the church. The kids and I went up at our normal time. We had our church service, then Sunday school. The kids and I spent the rest of the day relaxing at home, catching up on odds and ends around the house and spent a little time outside.
Brian worked at the church all morning then went to show a house then came home and did yard work.
We had a good somewhat relaxing weekend before our week of crazy.

  1. Sounds like a great weekend- sounds like the calm before the storm and we can certainly relate to that here!
